    Nope!

Used to be 4%, then down to 3%. Was hoping to be 3% today.

      • +2

        Used to be 5%!

The way things are going pretty soon we'll be paying them to buy gift cards.

        • I don't remember 5% lol

  • +6

Nope. Most of these brands you can get separately for 5 or 6% or even more if you wait. Why would you get a shitty discount like this?

      Coles

      • +4

Various vendors listed here that offer 3%+ on Coles (Macquarie e.g. can get 3.5% off just by having a free transaction account)

        • I have no idea why you'd get a downvote for this. Macquarie is top tier and you're free to just use it for gift cards if you want. Plus it's a discount, not cashback!

I currently have a card that gives me 3% cashback. I can't use that card on most of those platforms and/or don't have access. 3% + 2.5% if pretty good for my situation anyway.

          • @knobbs: What card gives 3% cashback, if you don't mind me asking?

              @igorekh: I have a staked crypto.com card

    • Pay out your balance without needing to give up your bank details I guess…

Just a heads up. There is another thread on here with our Ultimate Everyone and similar gift cards not working.

Has been a month. I got it to use on the Jaycar sales, can't use it.

Also been really hard to get support for as there is no card number listed via the Shopback app or web based. So Ultimate can't help and Shopback support have stuck their head in the sand.

Summary - I have giftcards I can't use, nor even see. The 'see voucher' link simply says try again later. (expire late 2026), But that's all I can see.

Any insight into what is going on?

Email I received this morning says:
Subject: Gift Card Frenzy: Up to 19% Cashback 🤑
    - Super Swap 2.5% Cashback + Bonus $10 coupon challenge - can't find anything for the Bonus $10 coupon in the app or the website.
    - Amazon Gift Cards 2.5% Cashback + $3 bonus challenge - can't find anything for the $3 bonus challenge in the app or the website.

It also says the old cashback on the Super Swap was 1.5%… which it was. I've included 1.75% in the OP simply because that is what's stated on the ShopBack site. The recent non-upsized Super Swap I bought was 1.5% cashback.

In short, ShopBack say a lot of things but their followthrough is patchy to say the least.

      • Yeah feels like a bait-and-switch or an Easter egg hunt. And they never follow up with another email to say they've made an error. At least other retailers do send follow-up emails apologizing for the error and the inconvenience. How do cashback providers get around all the laws so easily when compared to other retailers?
