This site saves/costs me a fortune.

  • I'd love one of these WebOS TV's, looks to be the best smart tv platform around.

    • Have they fixed the problems with the apps on LG TVs…most notably Youtube…yet?

A few of my friends can't use this feature consistently, which really pisses them off since it was one of the main reasons they shelled out for a smart TV in the first place.

      • Are they using 2014 Model TV's? I personally haven't heard about issues, but I haven't been looking for them.

        • Yup, current models.

When I did some research to try & help find a resolution, it seemed to be a well documented problem…some folks were even returning their LGs as NFFP. A quick google or check WP will confirm.

The only workaround seemed to be using Plex et al. to stream a Youtube channel to a 3rd party app/browser on the TV…or alternatively plug in a Chromecast, which seemed to defeat the purpose of having a smartass TV in the first place! ;)

        • @StewBalls:

I've been playing with YouTube on mine via my iPhone and it works perfectly.

        • @p1owz0r:

So do you only watch youtube streaming via your iphone, not directly over your wifi network using the inbuilt LG app?

  • I found this review. It's more for the WebOS than for the TV…

Wish there were more reviews on this panel…

  • I have this tv and I think it's excellent. I can't comment on YouTube updates but it was a bit buggy when I used it before - I couldn't get rid of the controls.

It looks spectacular with quality source content eg the lego 3d blu ray or my ps4.

In terms of price I paid 2348 I think and Harvey Norman would not budge - even when they had incorrectly sold me a Samsung (the rep gave me wrong info) the manager said better to pay a courier to pick up the tv and refund me than drop to a similar price as this - I felt like he was being straight and I saw the retail prices, online prices and Special prices on his computer - the latter being the lowest they can go.

    Long story short excellent price.

  • I was actually looking at the 950T model and I read that the 950T is way superior than this model. But at this price for a UHD, I don't care about the features :)
