You heard all the rumors, and you may have also heard the blatant hints from the airline itself.
Today you hear it from the other side, and it is official. AirAsia X and Abu Dhabi announced the launch of sales for their upcoming 5-weekly KUL-AUH service.
The new KUL-AUH-KUL service will commence in November 23rd, and will be operated with the A340-300.
Introductory fares are 99MYR/99AED one way, which equates to about $32 AUD!
Book between August 20-26 for flights between 23-Nov-2009 to 31-July-2010.
A good addition to those ridiculously cheap Australia-KUL flights that had a few months back!! :)

There you are only a few days I was explaining all this. And now there you go. Its official.
They are using AbuDhabi a emirate within the UAE is their 2nd hub and from there already have shown flights to Egypt, Jordan, Saudi and Iran. Im sure they will also be doing something via Dubai or including it as part of their routes or something.
So they are extending their ME links now and getting their hub online. Next would likely be lots more Europe destinations and Africa from the AbuDhabi hub.
