[PC] [Origin] Mass Effect 3 Standard Edition $4.99 (Was $19.99)

140

Just saw this in the Origin Client, in the Featured Today window. The T&Cs says it expires Wednesday, 3 September 2014 at 3 AM AEST.

Sorry, I couldn't see the sale on the Origin web site and I'm new to using Origin so can't provide a web link. View it from your Origin Client.

Edit: It seems some of you aren't seeing the Featured Today window. In the client click the Origin menu, and then select Launch Featured Today.

  • Seems like a good price.

Showing $20 bucks on the client :/

Showing @ 4.99 for me - added to cart at that price… Maybe log out and back in to Origin?

    • Doing the same for me on both the client and website. Tried logging out and back in as well :(

EDIT: It seems you have to wait for the offer to pop up in the client, after logging in the third time it came up: http://i.imgur.com/Oital4h.png

I can confirm that the price is available only through Origin client at the moment.
    AUD4.99 on Origin client
    AUD19.99 on the website.

Been waiting forever for this to go one sale. Thanks MiniMoo :)

This will be a typical EA trick, get the game for the amazing price of $5 - watch the DLC NEVER get discounted and there's probably $30 to $50 worth.
They've done it for ME1 and 2 for years.

    • +1

You're right. But to be honest, I've played all the DLC for all three games and the Shadowbroker DLC for ME2 is the only one actually worth playing IMO.

      • That was indeed epic

      • Disagree. Bring Down the Sky for ME1 was a lot of fun, I really enjoyed all of the story DLC for ME2 particularly Overlord, and for ME3 you actually need Leviathan to properly understand the plot. It's still ridiculous, but it makes it more understandable.

      • +2

Well for ME3 the Javik DLC is pretty essential imo, which was a day 1 DLC that I felt should have been in the game. Another reason to hate EA.

The Citadel DLC is something that has to be experienced if you're an ME fan.

But the prices for the 4 DLC packs in USD are $10, $10, $15, $15, so a total of $50. And they will probably never discount them, because EA is smart.

        • +1

Yep, $50 goddamn dollars of DLC for a "$5 game"

        • +2

@hamwhisperer: Even worse they try to mask the price by using Bioware points instead of real dollars. And it's not a 1 for 1 conversion. It's designed to mislead you. Microsoft used to do this too. It requires you to do some maths to figure out how much it's actually going to cost you.

  • confirmed works on both the Origin client and origin website.
have to sign in on website though and does not work for mexico store.

  • Origin client showed $19.99. Had to logout and login again. Then a popup appeared with 75% off Mass Effect 3. $4.99 for ME3 is indeed a bargain.

  • Don't forget an extra $50 for all the DLC.

  • Cannot get it to show up. Had the popup once in the client but clicking on that just led to the game time games. On the web store no popup and it's still listed as $19.99

EDIT: nvm. Click on Origin in top left and "launch featured today"

  • Can anyone share what the promo code is?

I had the pop up and the item in my cart for $4.99, but then mistakenly pressed the X and it deleted the promo code, which will not re-appear no matter how many times I restart Origin and get the pop up!

Stupid me, but also, stupid Origin!!!! Argh!
