By cashback link do you mean https://www.cashrewards.com.au/kathmandu which offers 5.6% cash back on all purchases through Kathmandu online.

    • Yes, I mean under the Go to Deal button - Cashrewards, Qwibble, Starthere. I'll add an arrow to my post pointing to the button.

      • we need some way to remind ourselves to check cashback sites before purchase hmm..

        • Yeah a while back i made a few purchases from Kathmandu online before i found out about these cashback sites like cashrewards.com.au offering cashbacks from Kathmandu. Could have saved maybe $10. Now i always make sure i use Cashrewards first.

      • There's nothing there next to the arrow. No button or any thing.

When viewing from a PC, I see the deal image, under that a button 'Go to Deal' and under that a button 'Cashback'.

Click on 'Cashback' and a dropdown 'Cashback offers' with icons listing the available cashbacks for this deal are shown.

Click on the icon of a cashback site and you'll be given the % discount available. Click on this and it'll open up a browser to the dealsite.

towelie from southpark springs to mind…

He didn't have the most active lifestyle I've ever seen :P

Microfibre I think. It's light and quick drying but feels more 'sticky' compared to normal terry towels.

      • Cotton towels would be the best for the not sticky feeling.

    • +9

It means you need to take it for daily walks.

    • They're very thin but incredibly absorbent. I have a few and I love them. Will definitely be buying some more.

    • +1

      Shamwow!

    • It's a super thin towel that feels a bit foamy.

It's really absorbent for it's thickness, but because of how thin it is it doesn't absorb as well as a regular towel.

Also because of it's thickness it's super fast drying. So you can quickly dry it out after use and pack it up again and prolong usage without wet towel smell stinking up your car/backpack.

Good uses for it would be for camping, leaving it in your car for impromptu beach/pool trips, as a yoga mat (I guess) and stuff like that.

For when storage size or drying speed isn't an issue I'd just stick with regular towels.

Sorry, I meant for this comment to be a reply to the earlier comments about getting cashback.

    • The thing is i'm viewing from a PC on IE, Firefox or Chrome and i see no deal image, icons or any thing on any browser. There's some thing wrong with your link which i've been trying to explain.

All it says is this with nothing showing next to the arrow.

  • @hollykryten Can you see the button that says 'Go to Deal' to the RIGHT of my post?

    • Ahhhhh all the way over there under the picture?. Didn't see that. Yes it's there my bad. Doh!. No worries :)

  • Here's another cashback site offering a cashback through Kathmandu

    http://www.checkincashback.com.au/Kathmandu

    • Nice. FYI as the OP I don't get to add cashback deal's, ozBargain does that using web magic.

Does anyone else think Kathmandu's "RRP" prices are beyond a joke? I wouldn't be surprised if they sold absolutely nothing at those prices.

    • Yes. Hey i recently bought a $450 coat for $100. True blue the price tag has $449.98 on it. :)

      http://www.kathmandu.com.au/mens/jackets/softshell/bachmann-…

      • Were you happy with the $100 purchase? Bought one online but checked it out in the shop after. It's no leather, quite thin as well. Wind proof but not sure if this is warm enough. It is more like a wind/weather jacket than a winter jacket which I would like. Thinking of returning it to shop when it arrives.

        • +1

I don't know i only recently received it and hadn't worn it yet. Not cold enough now up here in central QLD to be wearing a coat. Maybe come next winter. But i suppose it's probably worth the $100.

  • thanks OP - the kids love the active towels - bought a few more.

  • Are these prices the same as in store? Cheers :)

    • I've found the clearance sale prices seem to be the same in store. The only exception is if it's listed as a online only deal from the Online Only Deals section.

      • Okay, thanks for the information, I will check out in store!

        • If it doesn't show as the same price in store show them it on a smart phone if you can and they might match the price.

    • Same prices but a lot of clearance items are not stocked in store.

      • On the other hand i recently was able to score a blue colour Arbury jacket for $50 in store that was no longer offered on the online store in that particular colour.

  • DOES THE Peyto Jacket (Carbon - L or XL) $49.99 have the kathmandu sign on them? picture doesnt seem it does. is that why its so cheap?

    • I have a few Peyto jackets which i bought for the $50 last month. It's exactly as shown in the picture on the website there is nothing on the outside of the jacket which says Kathmandu like the other kathmandu jackets do. The only place which says Kathmandu on it is the internal product tag where it has the jacket size etc. That part you can't see from the pic because it's inside the jacket.

    • +2

Do you buy products because they have signs on the outside?

    • Yep looking at mine right now.has one on left arm and neck. Brilliant jacket which I grabbed a couple of weeks ago in store.

      • I was more going by the word Kathmandu rather than the actual company symbol. As you can see on other jackets such as Arbury jacket or Wilmot v2 jacket the word Kathmandu is on the front whereas on the Peyto jacket it's not there.

Any way so far i own one black Peyto XXL jacket, one grey Peyto XXL jacket, one blue Arbury XXL jacket, one black Wilmot v2 XXL jacket and one Cigar Bachmann XXL coat. Do you think i've got enough jackets already? :)

  • Initially added only few items to the cart, but in the end i spend $110 just for accessories itself. That's the ozbargain impulse syndrome i guess. Thanks for the post anyways.

LOL, same. My total came to $123.91 but that's for 9 items (all on clearance) so not too shabby :-). Thanks, OP!

Travel Security ID Kit - Green Size: ONE 61410/702/ONE 2 $19.98
      Compact Travel Towel - L - Jade Green Size: L 61353/478/L 2 $19.98
Miramar Sunglasses Women - Berry Size: ONE 61427/377/ONE 1 $15.99

At $110 you would have got free delivery any way because all orders $100 or over gets free delivery any day of the week or month.

"If you spend $100.00 or more with us in a single transaction within Australia, we will deliver your order to you for FREE!" http://www.kathmandu.com.au/customer-service/delivery-and-sh…

It's orders $100 or under that are also temporarily getting free delivery. All orders over $100 were getting free delivery in the first place since is a perm thing.

Bought an active towel. Cash back is not showing on the site though, it doesn't seem it worked for me at all. Oh well.

    • to get cashback you have to start your shopping from the cashback site itself, currently 5.6% back if you go through www.cashrewards.com.au, then you click on the store on cashrewards i.e kathmandu and shop normally from their on the kathmandu website

      • Went through the Qwibble one, but it didn't work. Meh. Didn't waste too much :)

        • As like i said it will take Kathmandu a few days to notify Qwibble of the sale. It should then show up on the account as a pending cash back. The cash backs don't clear until after the Kathmandu returns period expired which for Kathmandu online is 30 days. All is not lost.

You likely won't even get the actual cash back until around early the next month.

      • Usually takes a few days for Kathmandu to notify Cashrewards of the sale too so it won't show up on your Cashrewards account immediately. Give it a few days.

Thanks OP. Wish they had more things available in XS. Hardly any jackets in that size. Giving it a pass
