40" UHD 4K TV, cheaper than Harvey Norman and other suppliers at moment (except for 2nds World, which was cheaper if you could pick it up, but Betta has a lot more stores).

Seems to be Free Delivery, at least in some cases, eg I tried postcodes 3150 and 3175 and it was free.

How much is it normally? Why is this a bargain?

    • I've seen it $755 -> $796.

  • Here is cheaper!

Edit: Oops, I didn't see OP already mentioned.

  • Can you actually get 4K content now?

    • +3

Yes, if you own a 4K camera.

  • How well would this tv stand up to ps4? Worth using over a panasonic HD 50" Plasma thats about 2yrs old?

"The PS4 supports 4K output, but only for photos and videos; not games. PS4 games do not work on 4K."

I don't think it is worth getting a 4K tv for it… at least not yet, maybe future patches/games will work with 4k.

Basically, it would look the same on the 40" vs. the 50" (apart from the obvious difference in screen size)

I'm going to assume this is 30hz because their 60hz aren't due out until late 2014. Therefore I see little reason to buy 4K yet. 60hz for a PC would be nice however.

Save your money better deals later.. and 4k is really only a marketing exercise ATM very little content readily available. Even 3D is struggling to make any headway with some manufacturers dropping it.

  • delivery is
    $98.00

funny how the 39" from amazon is only $115 delivery and thats from america!

    • seems to depend on where you live. Maybe related to how close to one of the stores you are.

  • smart TV
    any good?

  • No use buying a 4K TV unless your local channel 7. 9. 10 broadcast their programmes in ultra HD.

    • Number of people appear to be buying these (and the Seiki) as extra-large PC/Mac monitors. Number of references on the net to this (see Amazon comments, various forums).

      • Edit: Those people who uses 5Gbps ISP with unlimited download would able to stream 4K contents without problems.
