    Wow that site provides TI for $90 cheaper than my current quote with TID. Keen to see if anyone knows anything about them, would cancel my policy with TID if they have some sort of reputation (personally I've never heard of them).

      They're pretty big and pretty well known, and operate in UK and USA too. The cover looks pretty good, just not sure about the finer details of their PDS

      Really? I'm heading to LA and Peru next month and (for my quote) TID is $30 cheaper. Removing the excess on both and going for the optimal cover makes IAG $176.42 and TID $146.50 (both include the coupons).

        Nope, scratch that. Accidentally only did it for a month earlier on I&G, not the 2 months I'll be abroad for. TID is cheaper by $9 vs Gold cover on I&G.

  Used Tid on a trip to NZ. Unfortunately my mum became ill while we were over there. Tid were terrible, delaying her transportation back to Oz by weeks while they tried to cut costs e.g. Suggesting that she be transferred from Dunedin to Auckland by ground ambulance instead of air ambulance. I know that it is the role of the insurance company to be cost effective, but they really treated my mother like a number. Cannot recommend them at all!

  On her flight home to Australia, she was informed by the air ambulance staff that could have flown home a week prior, but the insurance company kept requesting cheaper quotes and delaying the trip.
