Still waiting for my $100 from opening an ANZ account.. don't think 10,000 points is worth the money and hassle it costs to wait.
Already have 140,000 of them from opening 3 credit cards - ANZ FF + ANZ FF Plat and Combank awards lol

    • Yeah having opened one of these I cancelled after a month and a half because I couldn't be bothered continuing to send a couple of grand to it every month. 10000 FF points isn't nothing but it's not worth the hassle.

Haven't seen the points come through from the last one. Anyone else?

Still waiting for my points. It's been about 5 months/transfers now I believe.

still waiting for last time's 10k points..

      • 4 months, 27 days ago the last deal was posted. Shouldn't be long guys!

    • still waiting on my points, opened in June.

have send bankwest an email, will see how they reply.

  • FWIW I finally got my points last month after 5 months of transfers. Real pain that I wouldn't do again as they stick hard to their T&Cs.

  • After 5 months, I am still waiting for my points…

    BTW, they charged MAINTENANCE FEE.

  • I got mine from before, I guess just be patient and it's easy to cancel account over the phone

  • I got my points then closed account.

Did take some effort to get it, as in having to transfer each month for multiple months!

So, does it work it you transfer the $2000 at the start of each month, then withdraw that money straight away? (And continue that for 3+ months)

    • Yes. no requirement to keep it in the account if that's what your asking. I got the 10k points from the last deal

  • Gee that repeated poor feedback, that puts in perspective how good the ANZ FF credit card deal was - 40k points and they gave them to most people well before you met the requirement criteria etc and paid them within the first month and a half!

    • It was 50k.

    • This is typical behaviour from the CBA group squeezing its customers blood.

In all fairness this is a regular savings account which doesn't effect your borrowing limit or credit rating and which anyone can apply for. additionally no minimum spend per month to get it

  • Says 'Excludes existing Bankwest transaction account holders'
Does that mean if I have an Offset Account with them, I am excluded?

  • "these have been allocated to your Bankwest Account and will be
transferred over to your Qantas Frequent Flyer Account within 21 days
from the beginning of the month in other words by the 21 October."

still don't know if she manually put it through or just had to wait to the 21st.

  • "I have looked into your enquiry and I can see the 10,000 bonus points
were applied on the 5/10. I can see my previous colleague mentioned the
points would transfer over in 21 days, bringing you to the 21st October,
however I am sorry to say that information is incorrect.

The Qantas Points will be paid 60 days from the conditions being met, so
in your case 60 days from September. The points balance will reflect on
your next quarterly Bankwest Qantas Transaction account statement."

  • I closed my BankWest transaction account only a couple of months ago. Will this work for me?

  • finally received 10,000 points on mine and the wife's account.

    longest time to wait ever.
