  • Links are dead, but looks like site may have had an upgrade so that could be an Ozbargain thing (removing the ozbargain section at start of url works fine).

    • Thanks… just re-created the links from scratch. Hopefully it'll work now.

  • Hi Rep! Any chance you could do a deal on the M-Duo :) Bought one last time and was very happy with the sound and build quality till I misplaced it.

    • +4

Sure, I'll make that the next promo.

      • +1 on M-Duo please.
Looking for a new in ear earphone as of this morning.
Just lent my R1's to my boss who's got terrible ear hygiene ha
The day that I decide to listen to music on the train and he forgets his earphones… :'(

        • +3

          Will make it happen!

  • ..still looking for my musical vsonic's deal, ~$50-$100 tier after 30% off. balanced.

  • i am after a Bluetooth earphones.. the X6 seems a little heavy for my liking.. anyone else got the X6?

  • awesome! had my eye on these for a while.

    • +8

You're doing it wrong. They're supposed to go in your ear.

  • Always love these deals.

Now I'm gymming I'm keen on the Bluetooth headphones but how long is the battery life I couldn't see that on the product page? (Maybe I'm blind)

    • +1

There's a separate tab for "Specifications" on the product page. The play time is 5 hours, as @hatimhussain said.

  • Sport-Fi® X6 Stereo Bluetooth Wireless Sports In-Ear Headphone with Memory Wire

    talk/playback time 5 hours
    standby time 120 hours
    charging time 3 hours

  • Waiting for the Air-Fi Runaway AF32's to be on special again (Hint.. Hint Rep!).

    • +3

I can do another Air-Fi deal towards the end of the month but if you're in a rush just send me a PM and I'll price match the recent promo for you tomorrow :)

      • Awesome news!

      • Any chance these might get the upgrade to Bluetooth 4.0?
The Matrix2, though seeming awesome, are a tad bit too expensive for my taste right now :)

        • +1

Yes, there should be a new 4.0 version of the Runaway before the end of the year.

        • @mikemeelec: Excellent! Thanks, Mike!
And keep up the good work! I think quite a lot of the orders that come in through here are because of the way you handle all of our queries!

        • +1

Thanks, it's my pleasure! The reception here on OzBargain for myself and our products has been amazing - the way store reps are welcomed here is totally unique.

  • I'd like to purchase these, but I'd want a small, durable mp3 player to go with "sports headphones". Apple seemed to kill the mp3 player market. Does anyone have any suggestions of any non-Apple products? Sony Walkmans look like the only option for me, but their pricing is a bit ridiculous, and their products seem to only sell in Japan…

Sandisk Sansa Clip+? Not sure if it's priced as reasonably in Australia as it is here, but it's something we all use here at the MEE office.

      • like the PS1 as audio cd player the little sansa is quite the hidden gem. if you're looking fancy and pricier then you may like to look at the ibasso tomkun. sansa you'd have to pick up internationally or ebay and that ilk.

    • Sandisk Sansa Clip+ for me with rockbox https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUFJN65v_4o

    • I'll also vote the Sansa Clip+, awesome little MP3 player…I think I got mine off Amazon before my sister stole it

      • Cheers all. I was considering it, but the amazon 1 star reviews put me off. Good to hear you had good experiences.. That's a bit more reassuring

  • Can you get custom tips for your range?
I bought the Metro2 AF72's during the last deal here and whilst they are great, the right earphone keeps coming out of my ear when walking. I'd be keen to get a different tip that perhaps goes more into the ear to secure the earphone

    • Before going custom it might be worth trying foam tips… memory foam tends to fill out all sorts of different-shaped ears better than silicone.

We also have some double- and triple-flange silicone tips that fit on the AF72. they essentially just provide a deeper seal. If you think those will work better for you than the stock single-flanges, just shoot me a PM or email and we'll set you up with some.

      • Rep, the M6P model states 6 pairs of tips. Are they all silicone? Because I have the same issue with 99% earphones that have silicone tips, they'll keep sliding out automatically, even when Im perfectly still. I'd love to buy the headphones but silicone tips really do drive me away. Can they be used without the tips?

        • Yes, they are all silicone - just different shapes. If you've never tried a wrap-around-the-ear earphone like the M6, you may be pleasantly surprised - this type of fit distributes the weight to the top of you ear instead of letting it all hang from the eartip. We've had a lot of good feedback from people who couldn't get conventional earphones to stay in place.

You can't use them without the tips - they wouldn't stay in your ears and the sound would be terrible because the tuning relies on having an acoustic seal. You can, however, get some memory foam tips, which expand to fit your ear (like an earplug) and wouldn't slide out.

    • +1

I would recommend looking into "custom shooters ear plugs". Comes as a two part resin you mix together, form it around your ear phones and insert to your ears. Leave it for 20 minutes and presto, custom moulded ear phones for under $30 including shipping. Far better than paying 'some guy running a shop' $500 for the exact same thing!

      • This is some properly great advice, thanks. I guess it's similar to the custom plugs swimmers/bikers (for headset communications between riders/pillions)/people in high noise areas (mines etc.) use.

  • I can recommend the m6. Have been using it for 12 months for running and it's great.

Even accidentally chucked it in the wash twice and seems to have come out unaffected

  • How can I connect these bluetooth Headphones to Pc audio out?

    • +1

Easiest way if your PC does not have Bluetooth built in is to plug one of these into the 3.5mm headphone jack . You'll only get stereo audio, but you won't have to worry about software or anything else.

If you want to have full Bluetooth functionality including microphone, remote controls, etc, then you'll need to install a USB Bluetooth dongle like this one.

      • Thank you very much!
I've already bought a free runner from you guys the last deal and wanted to connect it :-)

  • Mike (or anyone else), how do the X6 compare to the Journey in terms of sound?

    • The X6 is better. The Journey is an earbud design so it doesn't seal in the ear. As a result, it has a big disadvantage when it comes to bass. The X6 has deeper, fuller bass that makes it sound more natural and engrossing. The only advantage the Journey may have is for phone calls and audio books when you really only care about the midrange and don't want anything getting in the way. Even then, I think it's just on-par, not better.

      • Thanks for the response. Doesn't seem to be too much difference between the two. I'll wait for a sale on the Metro2 AF72

  • I bought pair of M6 and M6P last sale, and can confirm that I can wear them under my Motorcycle helmet. Very Happy :)

    Thanks Mike

  • Are the cable's on this any different to your standard range? How durable are they to constant bending?

    • There is a little overlap with the cables but it depends on which model from our standard ones you have. For example the cable on the black M6 and M6P is the same as on the old R1 model, and on the clear M6/M6P it's the same as on the first-generation M9 and other M-series earphones (like the M16, M31, etc).

Bending shouldn't be a problem as long as you're not pinching it at a really sharp angle.

  • Just bought a pair of M6, keen to give them a try. Thanks!

  • Is the price in USD or AUD?

    • USD: "Coupon Code: OzBargainSportFi. All prices in USD."

  • Dear mike

Could you please compare airfi metro72 and the x6 for me please .. Thank you in advance and sorry if this has been answered before … Leaning towards x6 .

    • The Metro2 sounds better and supports the higher-quality aptX audio codec (assuming your Bluetooth device does as well) but overall they have slightly different purposes - the X6 is sweat-resistant and designed to be secure on the head so it won't fall off while you're working out. The Metro2 is more of a casual use headset - if you use the ear fins and cable clips that it comes with you can approximate the secure fit of the X6, but you still can't do a cartwheel or anything.

Summary: Metro2 - more Bluetooth features and better sound
X6 - secure fit and design for active/sports use with good sound and all the Bluetooth basics covered

  • It isn't offering me standard postage for some reason. Can you help?

    • Standard postage is disabled for certain countries where we have had a high incidence of lost/stolen packages. For all other countries it shows up as "USPS International First Class Mail" and is priced at $8.95 before the $2.95 discount.

  • +1

Just bought a pair of M6 - thanks!

  • Hi,

Can you do any discounts for M31 eartips?

    • Hi,

Sure, just send me a private message or email with a link to the ones you want and I'll see what I can do.

      Thanks!
      -Mike
