That worked for me. But wow, not to be an elitist dick but you can build that spec for much cheaper o.O

  • Working now :)

    Hmmmm… $4k for a PC… I'll pass this time.

    • +6

      nah mate, it's only $3999.00

  • +7

I don't even how this made it on ozbargain, the desktop has GTX 690 if I'm paying $3999 I'm expecting more then a GTX 690 what a joke

  • +4

not worth it at all, worth 1500-2000$ MAX, old gear on it as well.

    • +4

yep with x99 out and ddr4 and six core intels, as if you'd pay $4k for old tech like this

The unit was a good price in comparison to what people sell this particular unit for - but since noone likes it, ive changed the bargain to just a no surcharge on our website til sunday 9PM.

This is the original unit for anyone curious.

terrible price and removeing a surcharge that should exsist = a bad deal.

    • Since noone likes the unit

      "noone" ?

  • +1

Expired… Hmm too much Demand? Pricing Error?

Edit: I guess the question has been answered. & a new deal has been born (ed).

      • +8

original deal wasn't a deal, removing the PayPal fee isn't inspiring me to make a purchase and the Rep's attitude stinks, be thankful you don't have a storefront you can see me walk out from!

Hey, you guys know that the sides and top open <sigh> automatically to reveal awesome cooling power? That's not easy to build!

Even though the machine will be optimized, perhaps better than the average pc builder can do, I think it is overpriced for what you get. I built one a month or so ago with 2 x 770 GTX and better CPU, larger SSD for 2.5k. The serious cooling power is way overkill for a measly 680 graphics card, unless your thrashing the system all of the time I guess. My build is silent with 3 system fans.

It does look awesome though. ROG is ASUS competitor to alienware.

    • I bet an Ft-02 cools better than this

  • +5

Looks insanely expensive. DDR4 RAM is out, this is old stuff :D

  • +3

Not really sure how this is a bargain? I'm sure if I was going to build a 3-way sli system i'd do it custom. At this price it'd have to be the foundations of a 3-way system.

  • I'm actually looking for a new desktop with good all round specs. These are being advertised as big discounts… can anyone comment if these are actually well priced?

    1. OP has a poor attitude and has not bothered to respond properly
    2. Poor price
    3. Removing surcharge that no one else charges is not a deal
    4. Silly RRPs
    • +4

I concur. No other business charges a PayPal surcharge, so waiving the charge is not a "deal", with no examples of a bargain either. And the rep is a unprofessional disgrace to the business.

  • +4

Does PayPal allow an extra fee to be levied for accepting PayPal payments?

    • +1

Pretty sure their T&Cs state you're not allowed to add a fee surcharge when using their service. Either bundle it in your pricing or absorb it.

  • +2

Grotesquely overpriced for last gen or worse tech, then removing a fee that nobody else even charges? Pathetic

Actually most people in our industry charge it, even telstra charge for credit card it on your phone bill..

I think a few people here need to dial down their sensitivity level, i wrote 4 Letters and a semi-colon.

Im persuaded to think anyone with any sense of fairness will see the above comments reflect you, not us.

    Also, manufacturers set RRP's shrug

    Have a great weekend from WH1 :)

You need to work on your professionalism and learn to keep the criticism of your customers private.

I think a few people here need to dial down their sensitivity level, i wrote 4 Letters and a semi-colon.

How do you like it when your buying something and the cashier rolls their eyes at you? The customer may have been annoying, but you keep that to yourself and vent where appropriate which for the record is not infront of us!

Im persuaded to think anyone with any sense of fairness will see the above comments reflect you, not us.

Since there is a "us" and I assume you are not the owner, if I see another smug comment from you , I'm going to give some feedback to your peers and it won't be complimentary!

      TL;DR

    • Actually most people in our industry charge it,

I have not seen this before.

even telstra (sic) charge for credit card it (sic) on your phone bill..

That is a fee for paying with a credit card. Not a fee for paying via PayPal.

I may have money in my PayPal account, or be funding the PayPal payment directly from my bank account. There may be no credit card involved - so why are you charging a fee for PayPal payments? Because of the PayPal fee for sellers - correct?

    • +2

Telstra don't charge if you pay via PayPal…. ever.
