  • Do these expire?

    • +1

Yes… normally the sound will weaken to a cough and splutter… then they expire.

    • Supposedly they do, that said I found an old can bought in the 1990's rusting away but still working relatively fine (a little spluttery). Then another, only weeks old completely lost its gas and died.

If you can use 12, then I wouldn't worry if 1 or 2 fail (it won't be more than that). If you don't need 12, I'd suggest buying 1 and spending your remaining credit on something you DO need :)

Might want to combine SCA posts? Otherwise we could post everything in the catalogue less the $10 as a deal.

    • if its a good deal, why not?

Thats what ozbargain is all about :)

      • This is a good value deal, though I won't personally bite… Waiting on something more suitable to me. I could use maybe 6 cans but not 12, especially after we just sold our old leaky yet ever-reliable Magna - that thing used heaps of cans :)

Really, I think we need to get out of the habit of posting these conditional 'store credit'/'credit card only' type promotions, Put up the sale price, the people eligible for the discount will know they are.

    • no worries, fixed title just for you :D.

    • You should look into the "store credit" thing you are slamming first. It gives you $10 free credit and is available RIGHT NOW, nothing wrong with that in my book.

One alternative to this would be a bottle of degreaser and a pump action sprayer. You can pickup a 5l bottle from masters for $8 and a sprayer for $9. This deal is about the cheapest price for degreaser I've seen but it pains me to think of all those cans.

  • Safe on carbon?

    • Yes, you can use degreaser to remove grease from the carbon brushes in your electrical motors. Shouldn't harm the carbon.

  • Thanks op.
I love this brand of degreaser… But 12 cans? That'd last a long time and take a lot of storage space.

    • Yeah true. It's very good stuff. And it works upside down. Maybe if you get a couple people to split them, that way you don't have to store quite so many yourself but you still get the savings.
