  • It's mainly clearance stock they can't normally sell.

There was almost nothing left by Thursday according to facebook.com/mtgravattplaza/

Most stock was already moved to new store in extension to Garden City opening 18/9.

Hardly anything left, shelves are bare Thursday at 12:52

It's moving to the new part of Garden City. (so most stock already at new store)

Yep Coles is going in there, target moving to garden city.

50% off cuz there's nothing there

We were there last week and nothing was 50% off and the bed linen shelves and crockery shelves were bare. Would be nice to have been told about the sale at the time!

Old store to become new Coles. So that means Coles & Woolies in same small centre, with IGA across the road. Aldi is building new store on Creek Rd North of Bunnings. Suits me & saves time. Garden City & Carindale Westfields are too big for simple grocery shopping, & both have boomgates & parking takes some time to find.

I would assume they moved all the expensive products off to other store hence why only clothes are left.

I have no idea though, couldn't untick the associated box. This isn't a official comment from target and just my own.

Yes, seems from FB posts, they only left clearance stock for this sale, with new stock worth moving already on the shelves at Garden City, ready for opening 18/9.

Probably only left a few staff for checkouts & those move to new store after this closes on 17/9.

  • Mainly ladies and kids clothes left now and about 20 games and a tfew iPod docks we managed to get over $300 worth of clothes for $80

  • Might go have a look around because I need more clothes

ipad air $390??? Any deal still left ???

  • How cheap are the electronics and covers? Worth Brodening?

    • Your profile shows you are in WA? That's a long way to come for a bargain I am reluctant to bother with, even though it's close enough to walk to.

Most Target stores have a lot of clearance stock. IPad & other covers were 50% off at another store when I checked last week.

      • What are 2 state lines and 4000 odd kilometres to a dedicated broden? One needs to factor in plane ticket and luggage costs though.

        • ;-p Exactly. But I wasn't even considering that. But am actually travelling to Qld but don't think I'd be near Mt Gravatt. Have rels near Cabooulture (sp?) but staying near the city.

Doubt I'd bother travelling to the store when I'm there just to Broden stuff. It'd be nearly gone anyways.

Hard to broden consumer goods like gadget covers as they can be had for nearly cost or wholesale price from Asian stores on eBay.

Was just a thought bubble. Make a little money on the side scooping up clearance items and then selling on Gumtree for the lazy or pure-online shoppers these days.

      • Was thinking out loud. Didn't mean to give impression I wanted to do it. I like to think of OzB as a likeminded community rather than just some free-for-all self-interest thing.

Was only joking. Just surprised someone from the other side of the country would visit a store here that has very little stock left.

Enjoy Brissie / Caboolture (I'm local, but was not sure how to spell it) ;-) Try to get to the Sunshine Coast or Bribie Island if up that way. Certainly more interesting than a half empty store.

    • iPad covers down from $30 to $5

      • +1

Some iPad covers been as low as $1 at Target.

It's old clearance stock. Same price at other Target stores - saw at Carindale Target last week. Probably bigger range at other stores as there is no buying frenzy & few would know they are reduced.

I won't bother popping in. I thought price would be 50% of reduced price not same price as other Target stores :-(

  • Could probably expect the same thing at Pacific Fair Target which is also relocating late November.
