Seagate External Desktop Drive 1.5TB (1500GB), 7200rpm 32mb USB2.0 [ST315005EXM101-RK].

My HDD's crashed so I was looking for good bargains and I’ve found this one. I think it’s a pretty good deal and I am considering buying this one. So hope some of you may like it and some can debate on it, but its up to the individuals to fight with con’s and pro’s, but for me 13Cents per GB is a good deal as I can go and pick it up from store.

Always Share the bargains and have fun, I just love Ozbargain

Enjoy the rest of the weekend pals…

Cheers

The Seagate 1.5TB 7200rpm drives perform well although that is constrained by the USB2 interface. A slower hard drive with lower power draw, temperature and vibration would be more logical.

    • So do you think I have more chances to crash this HDD again ??.eeemmm

any suggestions folks, regarding this HDD,should I go with this or goto COSTCO and buy the WD 2TB for $369.95, instead

      • So do you think I have more chances to crash this HDD again ??

I wasn't suggesting that. It would simply be more logical to opt for a 5400rpm or 5900rpm hard drive (with implied lower power draw, temperature and vibration/noise) since the transfer rate would be constrained by the USB2 interface, regardless of the drive's rotational speed.

        • Thanks for that HueyData.
