Posted the url for the shirts on rivers website (which doesn't reflect the price as of today) as I saw this sale advertisement on the tv whilst watching the saints vs demons game.

    they look terrible

  • Prices stil hasn't changed yet…

    • Hmmm unless its not an online offer? only instore? Ad went too quickly for me to pick up all the details…

  • Prices have now changed.

Kinda sucks that you have to spend at least $20 (3 shirts) otherwise they won't ship.

  • Anyone know what the quality is like?

lol rivers are for old men and the quality sucks

  • They look pretty average and they have a RIVERS logo slapped on the from of them.. terrible for a business shirt.

Well I must be old because I like the Rivers business shirts. The quality is fine and the colar and cuffs are lined so they remain non-saggy. I also like the button down colar style. I know that some people like to pay $100 for a business shirt so they can tell people they spent $100 on a business shirt and I'm glad that while I can afford to pay that I don't have to because none of my coleagues are anal retentive fashinista/snobs. For $9 a piece, these shirts are excellent.

Yep a white business shirt is a white business shirt - no polo logo but for $9 bucks Mr polo can take a dunk in the river, I'll be on the ubank watching with interest. But guess being a ozbargain hunter this is expected.

The boxer shorts are a good price if you need to make up the $20, they're $3.95 each.

Also notice they have the exact shirts twice, one with the rivers logo, one without eg. shirts with the code 39er have the logo, 28er don't.

  • For business shirts they are pretty unfashionable. Button down collars, loose fits, logo on front of shirt.

Not really worth the nine dollars.

When you buy a hundred dollar shirt you dont need to tell people how much it is because it looks like a good shirt. When I see people with rivers shirts I assume they got them cheap on a sale. Not what I am looking for.

For in between try Van Huesen European cuts whose shirts are around the $60 mark and are very good quality fabrics, durability and fits.

"Not really worth the nine dollars"

lol, you tried to compare $60 with the $9 shirt and then said the rivers one is not worth the money.

I don't really need shirt but from my experience, Rivers stuff are always good quality and very comfortable. Definitely worth the money.

personally not for me, good price though.

However, if you ever go overseas, i would recomend g2000 shirts. slim fit, look good, $150HKD which is around $15AUD. they do have nicer qaulity ones, picked up about 5 for about $27 each. not bad heh

    • totally agree with you… in fact i think almost 3/4 of my shirts are from g2000 hehe.

timmye I agree. I laugh at people in Rivers shirt. I get mine hand tailored at Carnaby St, London Town, Great Britain.

I fly there on Air Asia to save costs :D

Seriously, I used to live in HK and I have a lot of G2000 shirts. Not the slim fit ones though. I then started buying non-iron shirts from Crocodile. Don't like ironing, me. :)

Actually most of my g2000 i don't have to iron either… maybe i got the updated non-iron shirts lol.
