May not be for the average OzBargain'er but I personally buy a few of these when they have these specials so maybe others can benefit too. They also guarantee not to be beaten on price but if you're familiar with potting mix prices you're unlikely to find a cheaper price so for that reason alone I'm justifying it as a "bargain" but feel free to disagree. Just be aware, Coles never heavily stock this stuff so it goes quickly. I noticed it in-store yesterday and they only had 5 bags left then. People really jump on it.
Okay so it's not premium potting mix, but there is worse products! Whilst I wouldn't necessarily put my favourite valued plants in this stuff alone (or your herbs & vegies for that matter) it will suffice, and it suddenly comes into it's own if you mix it with other products ie: Due to its organic content it really benefits from mixing with other soil types, being into horticulture myself I have a big pile of Course River Sand available and mix it with this plus sometimes a bit of Peat so I get the best of both worlds coz suddenly the 25L stretches REALLY FAR, but for Joe Average without access to all that, it's also great for mixing with earth soil - eg: when your moving potted plants into the ground, this will give them a head start. A lot of people pay $10+ when they don't necessarily need anything more than this product. Just a heads up, hope it helps someone save a few bucks.
