My first post :)
Was browsing around for AV Receiver and found this on amazon. Cheapest elsewhere is ~$900+shippings.

You will need a good step-down transformer which will add a lot to the cost

That's why it says, "Shippings" in the title ;)

    • Are you sure it doesn't have a switching supply?

        Power supply AC 120 V , 60 Hz

So ends up being about $800AUD shipped, plus have to buy transformer, and no local warranty or consumer guarantees(which would equate to several years warranty). Doesn't seem much of a deal when Videopro have it for $895 shipped.

        • Thanks. I think Denon used to give the US model a slightly different model number designation and a 110V supply. They seem to have the same model number now and depending on what market specs you look at, they either have 240 or 110V. Confusing.

  • A bit over AUD$100 for shipping.

Try amazon uk and Italy… same voltage! Bought a Yamaha 475 for 380 including shipping a week ago! Great prices time to time.

  • Was looking at this the other day can be had from UK or Germany Amazon for the same price.

    • A$812 without shipping from Germany. Not available in UK or Italy at a good price.

  • Just a note for new buyers, dobly atmos just come out. So if you want support for that get it, if not, these will start dropping in price very soon i think.

  • £324.17 + £73.49 delivery to Sydney from AudioFidelity works out to be about $726.03AUD using

thanks to previous thread selling the AVR-X2000

  • I was tossing between the X3000, X4000 and bought Pioneer SC-1223:

    £359 - VAT£59 + Shipping£85 = £384.42

Unfortunately, the 15% ebay deal is over, which would have been a $100 saving :(
The AUD is rather weak at the moment so I got charged $710 on my CC.

Through CashRewards one can get additional 2% off, so the total damage is about $696.

EDIT - I find the Pioneer better for my needs than X3000, however, X4000 and of course X4100 would have been great for a higher price tag.
For comparison, Denis White sells a Demo SC-1223 for $999 down from RRP$1499.
