Does that mean we can order 10 LEDs from your website and it would be shipped for free ?

    • As part of the VEET Scheme regulation A Grade Electrical Company need to make an appointments with the customer and arrange time of installation.

Electrical Company must decommission your existing 50W lights and create VEECs certificates

    And 6W LED isn't a equivalent to 50W.
    Around 10-12W is a equivalent to 50W.

6W LED is closer to 30W

Cant just have the bulbs eh, need an appointment.
Hmmm sounds like an up-sell opportunity, bit like a "free" car safety check.
"Good thing you came in today, wouldn't be safe to drive home etc etc"

    There you go:
"Free Installation by a fully Licensed Electrician"
    "
    MINIMUM of 20+ dowlights replacement"
"Considering no Electrical Faults are in place, all current transformers are in working order and All lights are Non- Dimmable"

Looks like everyone gets a bill.

Neg because I believe it is very likely are hidden costs.

    • From 6pm today Monday 19 May 2014, important new administrative requirements apply to all Schedule 21C installations. From this time, compliant installations under Schedule 21C can only be undertaken by licensed electricians. Schedule 21C installations carried out by installers who are not licensed electricians cannot result in the proper creation of Victorian energy efficiency certificates (VEECs).

That's because the federal govt screwed up so bad with the insulation I expect they are covering their asses.
Anyone with a dubious sales bankrupt would recognize the "golden opportunity" to upsell once the target it's deeply committed.IE a crew there in the roof and half the wires out.

        Arthur Daley voice:
"Terrible shame Mrs Jones, all of these transformers will need replacing AND we couldn't possibly sign off without replacing that wiring. It's unsafe you see, could cause a fire, couldn't it."

I believe you are feeding of the VEET scheme and most likely upselling people with sweet bull dust. I doubt anyone gets away without a bill.

        • the federal govt screwed up so bad with the insulation

          Arthur Daley voice:
"and this insulation is not up to code and also needs replacing along with all the wiring anywhere near it"

          :)

No bargain or deal. FREE is the normal price in VIC due to VEET.

  • I have already changed some of my bulbs to 35W. There are more than 20 halogens, but less than 20 50W.
    Am I still eligible?

  • Influx of these deals lately…

forum post at best but more just spam

this is the normal "price" of no up front fee but all the middlemen claim there cut from your tax money.

the other issue is these sorts of mobs usually buy the cheapest and there for the crappiest gear tehy can get there hands on. even if its 50% worse quality but 1c less they will pinch every bit of quality out of it just to make more money from it

440 lumen is not bright enough to be a "direct halogen" (50W) replacement (would need to be at least 700 lumen). Not only are these "free" schemes wasting taxpayer funds but they also ensure that homeowners will need to replace these LEDs again to get something decent, creating even more waste - hardly environmentally beneficial.

  • Not a replacement for 50w halogen, significantly less output, misleading conduct and spam. Stay away.
