iPhone 5S 32GB $747 at Harvey Norman

61

This just popped up on staticice, and seems to be the cheapest around. I ended up price matching with at Officeworks which brought the price down to $709.65, pretty good considering how much this was a week ago. Officeworks hardly had any stock in Melbourne though.

How is it a good price if you bought 2 large pieces of electronics for the same price as one phone?

    • Nice Point

Not bad, apple store is $799 so bit cheaper but at that much you better off waiting for a deal on 6.

    • Sad that a $50 saving is considered "not bad" to an Apple user. Low standards.

This is an expensive price for a year old phone, even though by Apple standards it's a good deal.

not really a good deal for an one year old phone. Major disadvantage would be the average battery life. Screen has decent color yet is too small nowadays even with apple's own standards due to the recently released new iphone 6/6+. real apple follower will be getting the iphone 6/6+ no doubt. Resell value is around 400aud and will only be decreasing. better jst get a 2nd hand one at this time point.

For $122 more you can get a brand new iPhone 6 from the Apple store. Probably get it cheaper at Kogan if you wanted.

      • iPhone 6 looks like Samsung Galaxy to me.. might as well get the Galaxy (the day one can load iOS on to the Galaxy, world peace will return)

Are you an early version of Skynet?

  • I didn't know tabS is a phone

With the sales of Samsung Galaxy S5 going for around $480-$500. This is probably a big mistake. 1+1, LG and Xperia blow this phone out of the water too with the recent sales. I actually like Apple but why not put in the bit extra for an iPhone 6.

    I bought 2 x iPhone 3GS 32GB for $80 each from eBay.
    So for $160, I have iPhone 6GS 64GB (3GS 32GB + 3GS 32GB = 6GS 64GB)

Sorry to break it to you, the phones can't be combined so basically you got two horrible outdated phones.

Good one. You'd need two Sims though :)

and they say ios can't multi-task.

Steve jobs would have been so proud.

Maybe you can tape them to your ears and use them hands free?

  • You should reserve 2 iPhone 6 16GB and sell one, then you get one iPhone 6 with about 750. LOL

  • After using a Samsung Galaxy Note 1 & II for a few years I really want an iPhone 6 Plus (sick of how crappy Android is) but not at that ridiculous price. $750 for a superseded phone!!

When it comes to android systm it really depends on what custom UI you are dealing with. samsung has the most heavy weighted and laggy custom UI among all the android major brands. if you get a nexus phone /tablet, you might find the vanilla version android works surprisingly smooth even on google's 2-year-old phones/tablets.

After recent iOS 8 update, finding iOS really inconsistent on my iPad air. While my nexus 7 is just about perfect, I hope android next update is a better effort than apples latest attempt. It seems as these mobile os add more features they get more buggy and become more sluggish.
