Does anyone else find that Grocery Run is not as cheap as just waiting for Coles/Woolies sales and stocking up then?

    • Agreed, it really depends on what you are after.

    • That's a good question! when I got some spare time, I'll look into it to compare for curiosity. I'm under impression that they are cheaper than Coles/Woolies

Sometimes there are bargains on clearance items but if you shop smart at coles/woolworths I think overall you will save more as grocery run you end up paying shipping.

  • For NQR/Reject shop style products the prices seem pretty high. Tuna was 5 cans for $5 a couple weeks ago at Safeway vs there 29.98 for 24 cans of the same tuna, granted you cannot buy it for that price now but I would expect a similar price for a bulk buy.

  • You have to buy in bulk to make it worthwhile at $4.95 shipping. They seem to be running this promo a lot more than the $80 min. free shipping they had going for a while (which was better). I still don't think Coles/Woolies ever sells this many items approaching expiry or not shifting units and that's reflected in the pricing. Stock turns over quickly. For example, I've never seen the OMO Ultimate (top-rated by Choice) that cheap. Coles has sold it 50% off once or twice but it still doesn't match the Groceryrun price. I assume it's not selling as OMO have brought out a liquid version. I'm probably one of the few people who loves those Vanilla Green Tea Protein bars, which they're selling for a good price, although weirdly GroceryRun raised the price from $15.95 to $17.95 recently.
