well means i dont need to buy since the price is always around $20

      • +1

Yeah they same price as last deal after added delivery.

        • +1

          Minus 5% lol

        • Could get up to 12 packs for the same $4.95 shipping.

          3 Packs = $47.64 - Unit Price = $15.88
          5 Packs = $76.11 - Unit Price = $15.22

        • +1

@silent1: I tried 10 and its the same shipping

        • @silent1: Who has so many devices they'd use 96 AAAs. Broden maybe, he's got heaps of crap ;-p /sarc

        • +3

          @adamren:

You obviously don't own multiple cameras, flashes, wii remotes, tv remotes etc.

Heck if you have 2 cameras set up with external flash and use them all day they might go through 3 sets of batteries each. I own Nikon cameras. An SB-800 takes 5 batteries and an SB-900 or -910 takes 4. So if you had 2 SB-800s you could be looking at 30 batteries for a day's use for just 2 devices.

Or lets see you have a Wii and like to play with the family. 4 remotes. 2 batteries each and you want to have at least 1 set spare for remote if you're going to be playing all day. That's 16 batteries. Kids have their own Wiis? (Why not when you can get them 2nd hand under $50 these days). Add 4 batteries per kid.

How many TV remotes do you own? Any old cameras that use AA batteries? Or GPS units? Heck even bluetooth speakers use AA batteries.

Don't get me started on Kids toys.

          Torches?

96 isn't such a stretch especially when you prefer devices that use standard batteries.

  • +4

Thanks got some more batteries I don't actually need ;)

  • +6

I heard good things about these batteries

  • +4

They should make ENELOOP scratch and sniff chocolate flavoured batteries.

    • +4

Flavoured batteries should be 9 volt.

      • +1

my first eneloops i got i actually licked, i thought they were flavoured..

        lol

        • +5

Something tells me you're a storyteller

        • +2

          @nismo:
          possible

    • +1

do they smell chocolate when you charge?

      • +1

        No, they just melt.

    • +1

And / or when they warm or nearly overheat they smell like choc-chip fudge caramel muffins. Mmm. That way you know they're either fully charged or nearly going to overheat.

  • Is FREE FREIGHT FRIDAY every week? Maybe wait this midnight.

    • Normally Starts Thursday but didn't today for some reason

      • OP you should get paid from DS. I bet you know better than a rep. lol

  • +2

Perfect timing thanks mate needed some AAA sized batteries.

  • +10

These products still give free delivery for your order so worth considering instead of paying $4.95 for delivery.

    • thanks m8

  • +2

I have too many Eneloops said no one ever.

  • How did you find these ?
I search for "eneloop" and search for "chocolat", but these chocolat 8 packs are not in the results.
    http://search.dicksmith.com.au/search#w=eneloop

    • The normal link was removed to this new link

  • +1

I've had hell searching DSE, Bunnings, Total Tools… hell, SO many big name sites. I have no idea how/why only a direct URL will work sometimes (read:every visit)

  • +1

what would be the best charger for them?

    • +2

May be this https://www.masters.com.au/product/100679971/eneloop-quick-b… (use SUPER10 coupon code for 10% off)

    • A lot of people online recommend La Crosse and Maha. Not sure which models exactly but you'll find them. Has been mentioned in the numerous other Eneloop deal post comments too.

    • +1

Not a battery expert but I use a Nitecore i4 (can be had on ebay for ~$30). Well made, supports a huge range of batteries and and not too expensive.

      • +1

great charger, the d4 is the lcd version if you're into that sort of thing.

      • Just remember the Nitecore is NOT an 'intelligent-charger', meaning it doesnt allow you to select charge modes, refresh batteries or choose charge voltages which is most important to ensure you get the expected life out of a rechargable battery.

The Nitecore will charge at either 750mA or 375mA dependent on the amount of batteries inserted, but most batteries have a recommended charge pattern such as 200mA for 12hrs etc.. to maintain their lifecycle and capacity rates.

The Maha and the Lacrosse ARE 'intelligent' chargers, and have all of the modes required, discharge, refresh, test, as well as multi-voltage settings from 100mA all the way upto 1000mA.

I've got both, and prefer the Maha over the Lacross, but there are pros and cons of both to be honest.

  • +4

Don't forget AMEX deal $15 off for $100 spend https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/161491

    • Thanks unity1, missed the AMEX offer

  • I ordered two packs on the 12th but they haven't been sent yet. Anyone in the same boat?

    • I ordered the charger + Aa and the AAA pack and got it the next day!

    • Yep. Dick Smith sent me an email to tell me that the my order is currently on back order awaiting stock arrival. No estimated time of delivery.

    • I got mine from the last deal a couple of days ago.

    • Well finally got my order today, and instead of sending the Japanese Rouges like I ordered they sent the Chinese chocolats. Hmm.

Oh well, I needed some AAs so meh.

  • I ordered x4 packs on the 22nd and were delivered on the 23rd.

  • thanks OP, got 7, less than $13 each with the amex deal

  • Thanks, got a pack of each for $33.41 delivered.
Not bad - just over $2 per battery.

  • Didn't I just pay $20 for that last week??

  • Just got one pack of each (AA & AAA) and a screen protector for $32.24 delivered.

Haven't tried the eneloops yet and everyone raves about them so at this price I'm willing to try.

  • normally they have promotion on friday for free delivery..should i wait for till tomorrow ?

  • +1

    Any deals on a charger?

  • +2

No thanks. Only got my money back from the last deal for Eneloop Rouge today after hours wasted on the phone. Ordered on the 11th. Told all sorts of things from glitches in the system to they're going to try shipping from a different warehouse.

    • +3

      same with me

      • I put an order in on 15/09, still waiting for those.

        • If you pay through Paypal, can you file a dispute after one week, complaining that they were selling stuff that was not in stock? And if this is done, does anyone know how quickly Paypal will return your money?

  • +1

Still waiting for my rouge ones from last week. Outa stock. And I was onto it as soon as it came on. Any ideas how to crack the whip on these guys?

    • +1

See my comments above and on the Rouge thread from The 11th. In the end they cancelled my order and I got my money back today. I wasted hours on the phone for that.

The thing is the price is great and if these were the Made In Japan Eneloops I'd be very tempted despite being burnt. The bottom line is they're happy to hold onto your money indefinitely when stock may or may not be replenished. I can't stand that.

  • Got 1 each. Worked out to be 34 delivered with code and Camera Cloth to get free delivery.

  • I ordered on the 11th too, no email to say they didn't have stock, days to respond to emails …. still no Eneloops, last time I will deal with Dick Smith online.

    • I ordered my eneloop AAA's on the 19th, they were shipped out yesterday, received them today. o.0

    • What annoyed me is that after all that fuss and their misinformation about what was actually happening I was simply told the order would be cancelled. No offer to substitute other batteries. I literally wasted hours of my time for nothing. Not to mention it's a 1300 number that you have to call so I'm actually out of pocket. After some good deals that has left a sour taste in my mouth and I won't be ordering. My time is worth more than the at most $40 I'd have saved. And as I said I didn't save anything - I lost out.

    • Same here,

Didn't hear anything from them since I ordered one on the 11th.
Emailed them and received reply today saying that they ran out of stuck with indefinite time to re-stock.
      So annoyed right now.

Last time I will order from Dick.
Somebody need to crack a whip on this business.

  • Anyone tried in store even said online only?

  • Thanks Trent

  • Code seems to be expired now.

  • The bundled junk at least partially offset things along with -5% yesterday.
But why the 4.95 on freight (today, Friday) contrary to their banner ad ?

    • Because it's not live yet

      • edit: $15 would make a nice value .. seems to be live now.
now to see if they're advertising /stock/.

Bought 2 on giftcard, effectively $1.78 a cell.

  • +2

    Sweet, glad I waited!

  • Just ordered 1 of each freight free and all good. Forgot to try the 5% off code but OP has crossed it out anyway, does it work?

  • awesome, thanks trent.

    Last of my AAAs sorted

  • Free delivery, now $14.98 for an 8 pack?
    Irresistible - thanks OP

  • I resisted the $20 ones but this one is too good to be true. I wouldn't have seen this update if someone hadn't posted a duplicate.

  • Excellent price.

This website needs to have a Eneloop tab next to the Deals tab at the header

  • ordered an 8 pck last night with the kids earphones to get the free delivery, but received an email today that they are only sending the earphones, with no mention of the batteries……. is that how it works?

    • +1

I've had stuff in the same order come from two separate places with notifications for each individual shipment. Strange. Works for me - but I'd of thought that it creates a fair cost overhead for the business.

  • Thanks couldn't resist finally decided to order one pack only, still have one pack at home.

  • Bought a set of AA and AAA. Now I need to collect all the colours..

    • +1

Funny you mentioned that; just got a pack of these Chocolat to keep my collection of AA's upto date until the next special colours are released.

Collection currently consists of Original White [6x], Rainbow Glitter [8x], Rouge Tones [8x], Uomo Tones [8x], Tropical [16x] & the newest addition Chocolat [8x] for a grand total of 54 all sealed & unopened (except for the white ones).

Now need a deal for a glass display case…

  • Don't need anymore Eneloops but after this deal it'll be hard to spend more than $15 for a pack. So, might as well buy them now.

  • Hehe!

I didn't buy yesterday thinking there would be free shipping today. Looks like I was right!

    • +1

Also "WICKED15" code $15 off if order over $65.

  • +1

Wow, you can buy 8 packs for $89.84 using code wicked15 and AMEX offer.

  • 5 Packs of Eneloops and a Chromecast with WICKED15 and Amex offer…. $93.90… Winning :)

    • WICKED15 does not work on chromecast

      • Because have to over $65 you have to add something else.

  • Cheers OP, 5 packs of AA's for me.

  • Which charger do you guys recommend that can take many batteries, at least 8x ?

awesome deal bought a tonne of them, thanks you!

  • Eeekkk. AAAs on backorder. Only AAs sent.

  • anyone in Sydney want to share? I dont want 5 not sure what I am going to do with them

    • Just buy 4 or 3 packs then and add another product you want to take it up to $65

      • the problem is there is nothing I want right now so I bought 5 packs, I think I will have better luck to resell them here.
you should re-post the deal. I almost miss it but knew about it because of this comment https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/162068#comment-2268576

        • I can't it would be a dupe

  • +3

Thank god this is expired, I almost bought more

  • +1

Got my email saying they are on the way :)

    First Eneloop purchase

    • I received it early in the morning ordered only one pack.

      • GOOD To hear :) That fast delivery
