          I have a friend that works at a store that sells those umm, devices…she tells me the eneloops (rechargeable in general) are best because they only deliver 1.2v, not 1.5v…apparently the devices don't really tolerate a full 1.5v well, it tends to cook the motors during sustained…err, use! ;)

      The spaghetti monster help me I never learn! I just placed another order for 4x8xAA and 2x8xAAA chocolat eneloops for just under $75. This time if they won't supply I'm going to push for substituting regular eneloops instead of just giving up and letting them bully me into a refund.

        Well I have an invoice that says the AAs have shipped but the AAAs are on backorder. The invoice shows the web discount as having been taken off what has already shipped. So assuming it actually ships I have 4 x 8 AAs for $44.92.

        So if do end up shipping this but end up cancelling the rest of this order because they've again sold stock they don't have, I'm wondering if they'll have to return the other roughly $30? That'd mean I got those AA's for roughly $1.40. Not quite compensating me for 4 hours of being on hold last time plus a bunch of 1300 charges. Here's hoping I get them all.

        The web site is still showing them in stock. It just isn't right!!!

      $12 for eneloops is really good. Bought 1 week ago when it worked out closer to $15. ah well.

      I think this is probably the lowest price eneloops can get to from DSE? Would ppl agree?

        A day of shooting with 2 Nikon SB-800 flashes = 5x3x2=30 batteries.
        TV/DVD/Bluray/STB/Wii remotes = anything from 8 to 30 more depending on how many screens in your home.
        A handful of torches around the house in case of a blackout = 10 more.
        5 kids toys x 4 batteries each = 20 more. (If you have 15 kids toys, that's more like 60 more).

        There you go - for a family with more than one screen in the house, where one of the parents is a photo nut that likes geeky torches, and they spoil their kids with too many toys, I've managed to use up anything from 68 to 130 batteries without getting too ridiculous.

          5x3x2 for 2 Nikon SB-800 Flashes? You must be pushing them abit, do you shoot in Manual Mode or AUTO?

          I use a mixture of shutter, aperture and manual depending on what I'm trying to do. I'm still on the old D90 that has sensible behaviour with auto ISO (only boosts it as a last resort when there isn't enough light to expose properly with the flash at full).

          I've shot a couple of weddings for friends. On those occasions going through 2 or 3 sets of batteries per camera isn't unusual. You don't use them till they're totally flat because the flash recycle time becomes ridiculous and you end up under exposing or missing shots. Other times where I'll shoot a lot with flash are kids birthday parties or when I'm playing with multiple flash studio lighting (though I usually use much cheaper flashes for that so if I were to knock one over it wouldn't cost me hundreds of bucks).

          I actually have an SB-800 and an SB-910 not two SB-800s. The SB-910 only takes 4 batteries. So that was a slight exaggeration on my part (If I'd bought the second flash earlier it would be accurate).

          There are times when I shoot all day but typically only with flash used sparingly - corporate soccer, airshows. I've shot 6000+ images at a couple of the airshows and I don't think I've walked out of an airshow without 3000.

          Getting back on topic I hate the dark coloured eneloops. I wish my last deal with rouge had come through. I'd prefer girly pink glitter batteries that bleed heat off to dark coloured ones that retain it. But really I'd rather they were boring and just stuck to white.

          I do weddings, but I must be honest I use Canon. They're more efficient with battery life in most aspects especially their camera bodies. But I don't go past 2 sets of Eneloops at all. If not I can manage with a single set. And my flash only requires 4 not even 5. That's some mean shooting. Do you use a SoftBox? And I seriously suggest Manual for EVERYTHING. Flexibility & Control over USER FRIENDLINESS anyday. (Personal opinion).

          Trick is not to log in when you buy. Don't need to create a new account - just go through the order process, plug in your email you use with dse when asked but elect not to log in. Fill out the details (a pain, but whatever) and buy. At the very end you get the option to link the completed order to your account - that's when you login. :-)

      I got a couple of cases free with some 20 packs of AA alkalines that I've been reusing for a few years but I also splurged on cheap cases for 4 batteries from a chinese supplier even earlier than that. They were cheap so I bought about 30 of them and I'm still yet to use them all.

      My Nikon SB-800 flash is a real pain because it takes 5 batteries. I keep sets of them in small zip lock bags (smaller than sandwich bags is best because otherwise you waste space on the bag). There are only 5 batteries in any one bag and I haven't had a problem with fires or discharge after years of doing this.

    Code is still working, just make sure you are logged out for the entire order process (you can add your order to your account after checking out by using the same account email address but putting your password in after the order is confirmed).

    just used an RAA Wish Gift Card ($100 bought for $95) to buy a Nokia Lumia 630 prepaid for $84, total real price was $79 so happy with that!

    The code still works, just that it doesn't work on Fifa 15 (PS4/XB1 versions), for example if you put Destiny and Fifa both in your basket and apply the code you'll see that it works but when you take out Destiny and leave Fifa in your basket by itself the code is no longer valid.

      iphone 6 is still ok, IOS 8 is still software issue that can be fixed with an update.

      But Iphone 6+ "bend gate" is totally a hardware design issue. so stay away for now at least.
