We've been busy adding a whole range of new places where you can use the PayPal app and we've popped a $5 voucher into some of our most popular places. Login to the PayPal app and choose any restaurant that has a green voucher and receive $5 off your next purchase.

Offer: To participate, customers must access the AUD $5 voucher in the PayPal App and save the voucher for use. The voucher must be used when paying through the PayPal App at the following Participating Retailers: Feast @ 520, HuxtaBurger CBD Prahran Collingwood & The South Melbourne Trader. There's a maximum of 700 x $5 vouchers per Participating Retailer able to be saved to the PayPal App. Offer period starts on October 3, 2014 and ends on the earlier of 11.59 PM, October 17, 2014 or when all the allocated vouchers from the Participating Retailers are saved to the PayPal App. PayPal can extend the offer in its absolute discretion. One voucher per PayPal Account. The voucher can only be used once at one Participating Retailer, and must be used by October 17, 2014. The Participating Retailer's refund policy applies. For partial refunds, you will recieve the refund amount minus the Offer value. Offer cannot be combined with any other offer and not redeemable for cash. PayPal is not responsible for any promotions offered by the Participating Retailers.

  To get the voucher, just search for the place from the app, click on the store and then the voucher symbol.
  It looks like for Huxtaburger, the voucher applies only to the CBD and Fulham stores.

    Not sure if it was my phone or the app, but it was really slow and painful to find the store and add the voucher to my account. Thanks though. :) And thanks OP.

    They've actually listed it wrong in Collingwood. They've put it under Huxtable Restaurant which is across the street from Huxtaburger. However when you save the coupon it says Huxtaburger.

    Hopefully, it will work otherwise I'm sure Paypal can fix it up after.

  PayPal app for me is only searching nearby. I try to change it to search in Melbourne for Huxtaburger with no success, anyone else getting this?

  My Paypal account didn't register the $5 discount but guess I'll wait to see if they deduct it later.

  Just to clarify… do i have to have credit in my paypal account. (that is i pay then it deducts the $5) or is it just a voucher.

    It's just a voucher and only valid at your selected merchant.

        You need to have a preferred payment selected to pay. Either credit card, Paypal balance or bank account. Not sure if it was the Huxtable/Huxtaburger mixup that caused it to not work butI suspect I will get a $5 partial refund back to my account/CC.

        In the fine print Paypal wrote that you might see the full charge on your screen when you pay, but not to worry because they would ensure that you only pay the discounted amount.

    No, but if you buy less than $5, you won't retain the balance. It's only good once.

  I've just pinged Paypal's customer support as the $5 didn't work. They don't seem to be honouring the deal despite receiving a reminder email on the 13th to use the Huxtaburger voucher. I've sent them another email but it seems they have robots reading emails. Might have to do chargeback.

  The AUD $5.00 voucher is offered by the merchant. Part of their condition is that the offer period starts on October 3, 2014 and ends on the earlier of 11.59 PM, October 17, 2014 or when all the allotted vouchers from the Participating Retailers are saved to the PayPal App.

  I suggest that you contact the retailer and check with them if your purchase is eligible for the voucher. If you are eligible the merchant should be able to apply the necessary adjustment.
