    Nice! Just $1 extra for shipping beats the other Skycomp deal. Might actually consider grabbing one.

    Just a few questions:
    * To confirm, Premium ver. has the HDMI-In?
    * As it currently stands, are the servers for the HK channels more stable than the ones hosted on TVPad3?
    * Permanent 150+ channels included?
    * Can the language be switched between Mandarin & Cantonese on some channels (specifically TVB XingHe).
    * By any chance I choose to buy one, could you possibly leave a unit sealed & unopened (I have tech know-how)?

      For your questions:
      *The premium version has the HDMI-In, but actually it is not a HDMI-in Recorder which i was wrong about it before.
      *The servers for HK channels are fine, both of the TVPAD3 and WELTV is quite stable for the live TV channels.
      *All WELTV unit have access to the same contents, there are over 100 channels on my counting.
      *You cannot switch language between Mandarin & Cantonese on those channels, their language are set in default on the server side.
      *The WELTV have no seal on the box, just like a normal motherboard box with sort of paper insertion, actually for quality control, all WELTV had been opened & tested before WELTV company ship them to us.

          WelTV Premium Edition can act as an HDMI-in Recorder.

          Hi David,

          WelTV Premium Edition does have HDMI-in recording functionality.

          You need to download HDMI recorder (icon with pink background) in AppStore.
          To record
          1. start HDMI recorder
          2. set the destination to extSD (hopefully you have a 16GB or 32GB microSD already inserted)
          3. set starting time and record duration (the time as in HH:MM format, so 00:01 is 1 minute)
          4. select "go back to main menu" (do not select "quit program")
          5. start "Video Source" app
          6. select HDMI IN
          The recording will start according to your setting in step 3

          Notes:
          1. 1 min recording is approximately 8MB
          2. the recorded format is AAC MP4

          Notes that might upset you:
          1. only 1 audio channel is recorded
          2. no hot key for recording
          3. YOU PROBABLY DO NOT WANT TO ACCEPT THIS TRUTH BECAUSE TRUTH HURTS….. the resolution is only 640x480, NOT HD or FHD!!!!

      Yes , it is possible to install more free third party apps for android box, and XBMC for sure.

      I have WELTV and recently did a factory reset. You can install XBMC (I have "Gotham" installed with Navi-X program addon) and working pretty fine. The WELTV itself comes with default apps, you'll need to know how to install 3rd party apps - it's not documented.

      They all the same with latest version.There is only one version of the WELTV Premium in the market.

      No problem mate
      Glad to hear that you are happy with it.
      For install XBMC or any third party apks, you need to go to built-in APP Center on WELTV and find the ES file Explorer / Manager, then you can download XBMC or other apks from your PC and copy to a USB drive, plug into WELTV and use ES file Explorer to locate those apks to install. USB always locate under local category in ES file Manager.
      For XBMC you will need Gotham ARM version, not the X86 one.

    For those that is interested in Weltv, you might want to sit back and see what is the faith of VOD channels. Most VOD as of today have been disabled or dead.
