  You can get a 808GB internal HDD for $78 an an external case for $29 from Netplus, total $107.

  You can get the 808GB drive for $88 from MSY, and an external case for $15, total $103.

  The price is good, but it's not exactly thrilling.

  EDIT And you'd get the full 3 year warranty on the drive if you bought them separately… although WD should honour the 3 year warranty even if you do buy it bundled like this.

  The Astone drive/casing I have works pretty good, but I don't really need one yet…ah well.

  if its a 1g hd wouldnt that leave you 900ish mb after system file?

      if they wer picking numbers 888 would probably be a better number.

    maybe it's 750GB counted the new way (metric), following the 1999 standards. dunno why other manufacturers aren't counting like this. so technically 750GB should be written as 750GiB. So if they manufacture the hard drive platters according to the 'old' counting method they just convert it to the correct way - no false advertising here lol

  i reckon. why stop at 808, 888 is more luck for Chinese people. I for one is not but 888 is better.. 80 more gigs :D
