Its being cleared at BCF aswell for $119, but if you buy instore, they will match the price of Rays, so if BCF is easier to get to then they are both the same price

If memory serves me correct, they are owned by the same company.

      • Yup, super retail group

    • I tried price matching at BCF but they refused because it had a different PLU code

    • Who needs a heater when we're coming into summer anyway?

Just had a quick look, according to the bcf website it only has a max 11kw heat output with a 6 meter radius

Bunnings has one that has almost double the output and covers larger area at roughly the same price

Not an expert, but wouldn't the bunnings one be better?

      suppose the area with a 6m radius = 2 pi r = 37.7m2? same as bunnnings?

        BCF one says:
max 11 kW output (converts to 39.6 MJ/h)
        6 m radius (pi*6^2 = 113 m^2)

        Bunnings one says

38.5 MJ/h output (doesnt say if max.)
        17 m^2 heating (equivalent to 2.33 m radius)

Interesting how these two heaters seem to have similiar power outputs (39.6 MJ/h vs 38.5 MJ/h), but their effective radius/area (113 m^2 vs 17 m^2) is so vastly different.

Perhaps they have different ways of measuring "heated area"?

Or maybe they meant to say 6 m diameter rather than radius for the BCF one (makes the numbers much closer)

          What he said…

        • +1

I've never encountered a patio heater I can feel 6m away. I think it's diameter

    • BUNNINGS roughly the same price!!!!!!
Keeping in mind bunnings one is Powdercoated !!!!!

  • Thanks picked one up.

  • Anyone found a cover for this heater?
