Thanks monty. Grabbed me some free jumper leads.

    • Everyday batteries are also free

  • What does it mean by "Save $5" ?

    • it costs $5 to join the club but you get $10 credit

      • Ah that's interesting. Didn't see mention of that. So normally where do you pay the $5 joining fee?

        • If you go to front end of the website and join the link will take you to a part were you need to pay.. This link takes that away so it's free..

Anyone else unable to sign in???

    • +2

Yeah, got the confirmation email but can't sign in yet..

      • +1

yea i got the email but cant seem to sign in… keeps saying failure, a administrator has been notified.

        • Mine did the same, i got an email yesterday saying you have $10 credit a few hours after it..

        • I had this problem with the previous one, only got it resolved this week and can now log in. I contacted them by form and they advised a password reset was required. Perhaps try the "forgot password" link and do a reset yourself or contact them for assistance.

do people use the same name when they do multiple sign up's or do you have a hell of a lot of relatives living with you?

    • +2

They only validate it via email, not any other details. So you just have to use a different email each time.
The staff at the store don't care, I remember picking up a order of like 10 items for free. From last time's round of free memberships. lol.

      • cheers lplau.

  • *SCA 200Amp Jumper Leads 2.7M FREE

Keep in mind you'll likely end up with a mess of melted plastic (and a small amount of melted copper) if you try using these to jump anything bigger than a bike

    • pro tip: leave 2 cars hooked up together with the engine of the jumper car running for 10-20 mins before trying to start the jumpee. that way it charges up the battery enough for the battery to start the car and not have to rely on the shitty jumpter cables :)

      • There are plenty of tips out there but a lot of people wouldn't know that jumper leads are rated.

        From the product page

        Is this product for you?

Many people may not realise it, but the size of jumper lead to suit a 12v battery depends greatly on the size or Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) of a battery. If an attempt to jump start a car with a large battery is made using smaller Amp leads, then the required current may not be able to correct flow through these leads…For those with smaller batteries as commonly found in motorcycles or ride on lawn mowers the SCA 200Amp 2.7m Jumper Leads are ideal; for both cost and size

Just get decent set of jumper leads rated for your intended use (keeping in mind that manufacturers tend stretch the truth in their ratings).

  • Thanks, was thinking of joining this earlier today but didn't. Now saved the $5 I would have spent then.

  • Possibly been ozbargained? On my 6th signup looks like the tires have been clamped

      Link still works for me..

    • I signed up a few (real people in this house) - I got a rejection message of some sort on the final 2 attempts but it is followed by the successful message so I assume it's fine. Won't know for sure until I check the email accounts.

  • i have the $10 in my loyalty account, but it seems i'm not able to use it/apply it during checkout. Am i missing something? Can't see where im going wrong.

    Thanks.

  • The site seems to be crashing for me when verifying account

I think this is a targeted offer. I will wait before I neg

    • Its not targeted, but their log in system is currently broken. Cannot log in.
Lol you can't target a audience if you don't know who the audience is.

      • +2

        It's Targeted at Ozbargainers!

      • -2

It mentions for Lowes Club Members A learned person would realise that it is targeted at Lowes Members not an audience like some morons might think…

        • -1

Although it was for Lowes Club Members, but it isn't our fault that they didn't include another level of security such as validating your account to your Lowes Club Member Number.

If you don't do that, then it is pretty much free for all.

    • It wasn't targeted, but I suspect it was a mistake leaving the free signup on the mobile site (after removing it from the main www site a few weeks back).

  • If you guys are having trouble to login after signed up, please try using your mobile phone browser.
It works for me both on the Androids and iPhone. Make sure you go to their mobile site to login http://m.supercheapauto.com.au
It appears to me that after several attempts using the PC web browser they may have blocked your IP address.
When I used my phone, logged in using the Wifi it didn't work, but I disabled Wifi using the phone internet then tried login again, works well.

    thanks OP

just sign up, email verified and now have $10 too spend all up took less than couple of minutes.

  • I think the party is over folks :(

    • +1

I think you may be right, the accounts which is created via this website doesn't seem to work. My old accounts seem to log on correctly but the new accounts fails with admin error.

      • Yup, and perhaps more importantly, the sign up page seems to be gone (404).

        • Nevermind, if you use the "Forget Password" trick you can manage to log into your account and make a purchase using that $10.

You won't be able to get into the account in any other way.

If you have trouble to log in, just clear your cookies, go to log in page again and choose Need help with your password.
    1. type in your email to get a temporary password.
    2. click on the link from the email, set a new password (just ignore the message after typing your new password)
    3. go to My Acoount, check your Loyalty Credit balance.
    4. DO NOT LOG OUT, just buy whatever you like and choose pick up in store.

You have to do this again and again if you wish to re-login because i guess they blocked multiple accounts using the same IP or postal address. Hope it helps! sorry for my English:)

  • Seems to be 404ed now. Ohwell.

  • thanks..
