Ok Guys, So we have sacked our old outdated website and are trialing a new one. We have spent many hours to try and get it right! So because we want your feedback on not only our product but also on our new website we are offering just 300 of our locks at the special price of $4.99 which includes FREE shipping. You told us our old checkout was a nightmare to navigate so now you can just checkout with PayPal or credit card by using the secure PayPal site.

    the metal plate on this has hooks on either side of the doorframe to hold it in place, right?

    what's stopping someone from bending the leg straight, so it slides right through?

    (just trying to understand how it works)

      Looks like it hooks onto the latch hold/strike plate, which is inaccessible while the door is closed.

      Won't work on doors without a gap between it and the frame, though.

      i don't think it's hooked onto the door frame. it's hooked onto the strike plate of the lock.

      Plus, if they can bend the leg straight, then they really want to get in and I don't think this is good enough to stop them :)

      Have a look at the video on the site. The lock is used on the inside of the door, To lock you in and keep others out. If you are standing on the other side of the door, you cant see it at all. It is really simple and easy to use. You also get an instruction sheet with your order.:)

      We are developing a new product and it is in the final stage of us approving its manufacture. it is a timer reminder which will hang on your key ring. Cant elaborate too much at the moment but we develop new products from our own designs.

        i was hoping for that too!
        or at least alert you when there are parking inspectors within x km radius of your car.

        now, i always follow parking rules wherever i park but once had some wilson inspectors try to write me a $65 "fine" for not having a valid ticket, which i clearly did. appealed and won.

      Thank you for the order. The pins don't come separate so we have no spare ones. The wallet was our idea to keep the two parts together. The pin believe it or not, was actually the most expensive component to the product. We tossed the idea around about getting spare ones manufactured but found it was cost prohibitive. Sorry.

    Not trying to be be harsh, but the website is still pretty bad… It's buggy, slow, and generally unappealing.

      Thank you for the feedback we will be reviewing a few things on the site and will try different looks. It is probably slow because of the amount of traffic going through at the moment. But we will look at that as well. :)

    What is the basic difference between the 9.99 version and the 4.99 version? Is the 4.99 just a special?

    Also nice touch on the info down the bottom about taking it through international airport security!

      Yes we have had a lot of traffic through. There is no difference the $9.99 is the normal price. So when the special runs out they will revert back to their normal price. Yes we go overseas often and always have a few in our hand luggage. Never had a problem :)

    Bought a few of these during the last promo. Fantastic product.
    Gave them to my sister and girlfriend too when they traveled and they said they felt much better being able to fit these to doors that didn't lock so well.

    I would've bought a few last night but the mobile website is a bit difficult to navigate so I couldn't place the order.

    • When attempting to add the item to card I couldn't see clearly where the "Add to Cart" function was located.
    • Tried switching to desktop mode in the browser on the phone but it still presented mobile website view

    And at that point I gave up, better luck next time.

    Hi OP! I missed out on getting a great deal though as a person who is dabbling in website construction, I'd like to suggest using a great CMS that takes the hassle of design and coding etc… see www.squarespace.com. it's real easy and is mostly used by artists, restuarants etc, but there is no reason you can't sell anything on it. You don't have to be a genius to figure it out and the templates are great and will work with your website. Also, it's pretty cheap to maintain and change as you evolve! Good luck and I hope this helps.
