Pretty cheap. Don't really need the backward compatibility in the PS3, when you can just grab this.

Thank you thank you so much for posting this! I missed the BigW one last Christmas, and missed the CotD, BigW and Target ones this year!!! So after nearly a year, I finally got my bargain-priced brand new PS2. And I think I got the last one from Melbourne Bourke St's David Jones; might have a display set left though.

Backwards compatibility is all about having one less thing to plug into power and the TV, and getting rid of an extra set of controllers. Convenience is king.
That said: $159 at EB Games, $159.95 at GAME, $199.95 at JB HiFi. Even the second hand ones at EB are $125.
So good deal if you're after one.
