The label on the box indicates that the set top box can receive High Definition (HD) and Standard Definition (SD) digital TV. With High Definition broadcasts, you are able to receive the full range of channels, including those HD channels that are unavailable with SD set top boxes.

Existing analogue television receivers are able to display the digital signals simply by connecting a digital set top box to your current TV set. These televisions will continue to receive the existing analogue TV channels provided by broadcasters until analogue switch off occurs between 2010 and 2013.

    not a bargain. citysoftware.com.au has it for 85, which is cheaper if you can pickup.

        True! And crazystu has good shipping pricing. It's just HD set-top boxes have been floating around $80 for a little while now - $70 pp or less might be more of a bargain for a HD tuner. SD tuners are already here and there for $40.

    CrazyStu is online only and offer nationwide fixed rate shipping on this item. Sure if you want to buy a poorly supported HD STB you may have a case. The site you mention offers shipping from $13-$15 Australia wide. This limited offer is only for OzBargain members. Make of it what you will.

    Good deal. I know Joyce Mayne are doing them $79 this weekend in my area, but that may only be the local store, and they may have already run out of stock. Plus with cheap shipping, this suits people all around Aus. Good work on the charity giveaways too!
