Sounds good, where did you find that deal? Just making sure it is not a targeted offer…

    • I'd want to see the deal as something other than an image before I rely on it.

  • Thanks tonester

  • Thanks for posting - is everyone able to use this or is it targeted?

Got the email for this offer. I don't believe it is targeted. They had a similar promo like last month or the month before. I still have the points from that promo which I can still redeem

  • Is this for exsisiting or new members? Or both? Can I book and redeem my last offers and still get the bonus points?

  • +2

Thanks for sharing the deal, I called Dimmi this morning and I confirmed this promotion is valid for new users (sorry forgot to ask about existing users) and the points will automatically go into your account when you book and dine before 31/10/14.

Thanks Tonester. A local restaurant in my area has $10 specials. Booked for 1 haha , spending $10 to get $50 meal sounds good

    • note that you'll need to book for at least 2 to use the voucher :)

      • really. that only for the $50 voucher, right ?

But the booking to get the points can be 1 person booking ?

        • yes yes :)

TLDR - Intelligence gathering on whether you are a tightwad tipper!

I refuse to tip. I worked in hospitality in the past and was paid around $15 an hour.

How is that not enough and why are people expected to tip? I get paid to do a job properly, do I really need a tip for doing my job?

    http://www.smh.com.au/comment/restaurateurs-take-revenge-on-…

"Shared online reservations websites like dimmi.com.au, which allow restaurants to coordinate their bookings through a central site, now allow restaurants to compare notes on diners.
Stevan Premutico, chief executive officer of dimmi.com.au, told Good Food last week that it was increasingly common for restaurants to research their diners.
“What they look like, their job, their title, where they live, their social connections, any special celebrations and whether they are an avid foodie are all key things,” he says."

But the really crucial intelligence on these networks is all about how you rate as a diner. Are you a tightwad tipper? Do you hang around forever ordering further cups of peppermint tea? Are you a nasty drunk? Do you have a weird, honking laugh? Do you often turn up late, or not at all? Do you always order the second-cheapest bottle of wine? If so, it might be time to start booking under a pseudonym.

    • I don't use Dimmi.

I don't want that data collected on me and restaurants treating me differently because they have different ideas on how they should make a profit.

  • Any one get their bonus points yet?

  • Has anyone experienced one of the free Dimmi meals before?
