3km line of sight. So when you are on a black diamond run while your tobogganing mates are on the other side of the mountain they will be pretty useless.
Thankfully I don't do black diamond runs. Just stick to the blues :-)

I think it's more of a treasure hunt. Not a single member has confirmed one yet..or at least one with confirmed sufficient stock + location.
looks •$85 worth for a 4 Watt/powerful set via HK/ebay however I'm only new to CB.
Great price for what it is. Just keep in mind it doesn't support tones (CTCSS), so you can't block out other users. It'll be more susceptible to annoying interference too, as any interference will open the squelch.
Does it use AAAs?
