      which dates?

  • +1

return to sydney $33 is insane!

    • What dates is that for?

      • i checked feb, many dates indicate $33, but site doesn't respond right now. I think it might be a price error for return.

  • Any return $33 fares to Sydney in March 2015?

    • +2

Yeah there are heaps - virtually all days which aren't Tuesdays (go figure?). But I can't do all the work for you!!

      • Found them - but the connection keeps dropping out & can't get to the payment page!

    This is ridiculously good!

Got the same, after nearly completing the booking (as you have to go through half a dozen pages of advertising for services you don't need).

They really are a pack of clowns.

        • Yeah I'm one click off the payment screen.. low cost carriers are sneaky with their addons. Connection is still timing out.

        • +1

@BigBuddha: I got through in the end, just reloaded/refreshed when it'd timed out, and the booking was still there. Didn't mind the add ons in the end - not cheap at $31 pp per 15kg, but in the end the fares are about $370 return for two people, direct flights out of Tulla. Can't complain about that. I booked it with bank transfer, so will still be able to pull out if the boss doesn't want to go after all. :)

        • @JohnHowardsEyebrows:

Booked with deposit too. I took off baggage thinking 10KG was enough… not sure if made the right decision now.. airport luggage prices are hideous! Enjoy ya trip :D

        • +1

          @BigBuddha:

you can call up within 24hours of the booking and get a cheaper rate then the website, and I think it is 7kg each

  • Man… truly insane prices. Might have to go for this!

  • +1

so tempting.. but I've been bumped/cancelled on 4/5 of my last jetstar flights… beware if it has a codeshare with QANTAS… they sell the jetstar in advance… and bump you as the day gets closer as they sell QANTAS flights…

Any boggie board carry bag deals to go with this?

  • ridiculous price..2 adult + 1 child in June'15 = $293 return.

  • Thanks, booked june me and the missus 8 days for $244.

  • Please add Darwin into the title.

  • +2

    Site Ozbargained…

  • +2

I almost feel bad for booking the last one now for $198. I suppose that includes luggage. This deal from quick glance on phone seems to charge for luggage. So only about $20 difference in the end. But still, that's 10-15 bintangs or 20 delicious watermelon juices.

    • Don't worry, I also booked the last one - without luggage!!

I won't take up this offer sadly but would have loved to.

      • Almost tempted to go again in August as a birthday present to myself haha.

  • +6

Good job Jetstar posting a deal that your servers cant handle.

    • +2

Most servers can't handle the might of Ozbargain. Together we have the power to topple governments!

  • Gateway Timeout

The proxy server did not receive a timely response from the upstream server.

Website is getting absolutely hammered atm!

  • $113.70 return from Perth in March. Wow, very cheap.

  • +1

I got to the seat selection screen and it won't let me skip it! URGH

    • Same here.. not happy!

  • -1

    thanks..

  • Sorry guys - I know jetstar's site is terrible. I booked in the last deal, my poli payment kept coming up with errors and told me to call them. When I called them they said they couldn't give me the online sale price. Ended up it did go through and I received identical 4 itineraries.

I can't help their dodgy server infrastructure.

    • timed out 3 times for me using the desktop site and still 'waiting' on the mobile page

I agree with the comment above, they're a pack of clowns to offer something with such high demand and limited capability to purchase

    • They underestimated the power of OzBargain!

  • Thank you, just booked Bris Bali for June $135 each. Haven't been to Bali in about 10 years. Looking forward to the flight on the Dreamliner!

    • I've heard that it's not that special. It's biggest selling point was better fuel economy. It will be packed with seats to the brim.

    • Please report back when you're done with Bali. Had a terrible time at Kuta and locals trying to rip you off left right and centre and people putting your hands in your pocket when you walk out of bars and clubs. Never again.

      • +2

I usually stay away from Kuta. Next time try Semenyak - a totally different vibe. Check out Potato Head and Ku De Ta.

Sucks to be me, I paid $198 on Friday. Want my money back!

    • +1

Does your credit card have price protection insurance?

      • Paid with a Mastercard debit, so probably not. How would I find out?

        • +1

In that case I doubt it too, but you can check your card's brochure online.

    • Try getting a flight.

    • I did too!

    • +3

At least you have seats - the rest of us are hanging on the edge of ours cursing at the timeout error!

  • +1

[1018:ClassNotAvailable] Sorry, we are unable to reserve the selected flight(s) at this time. Please return to the Flight Select page and choose another flight(s).

    SRSLY?

Right at the payment processing page.

  • Wow!!! This makes the $198 seem expensive. Well done OP.

  • July return leg in July is still $300+ :(

  • I just booked my flights from last Friday's Bali sale for $99 each way :(

  • Clicked through all the errors and got three trips PER to Bali return for $113.70 each (no checked baggage, no seat selection, pay by direct deposit)

  • Has anyone had any luck. Been trying for over an hour, reached payment screen once.

    • +1

Got there only for the system to tell me it didnt recognise my mastercard debit card as a mastercard debit card. Tried by credit card then it timed out.

      • Try Poli. It works

      • Edit: Just checked my emails. Seems like the page timed out but the transaction went through. Now I'm hoping only one transaction went through…

    • I finally got through… just keep reloading. Should return you to the screen you were last at. Chose direct deposit as payment.

  • no luck from me

  • Got to a payment page only to be told there no flights available.

  • Live Chat:

We sometimes experience this if there is a heavy demand on booking online, I do apologize for that, since the Bali sale fare can only be purchased online.
    Iryne: at 17:58:40
I'm happy to make this booking for you and flights booked with me do incur a service fee and will be on a regular rate.

    BS!

  • Thanks OP, it took me half an hour to book the flight but $300 for 2 ppl return incl luggage is a insane price!

I was regretting not booked $199 return deal. Now is on!

    • How $300 for 2 people return including luggage can you break it down for me please ?

      • +1

Bris to Bali $88+15kg luggage for 1 person $28
Bali to Bris $33+20kg luggage for 1 person $29

        Total costs me $299

  • How are you people getting through!?

I even called and they couldn't get the sale price. Such BS.

    • +1

I still can't get through. Getting really sick of trying.

  • My original $198 flights (Sydney-Bali) are now $121.. damnfangles… :(
but… I did manage to get the 40kg baggage included :)

  • Argh… so over this… :(

Also see they sent an email to all their subscribers - cue more chaos…

  • got a payment error when I went to pay

so kept trying and then it said "this booking is a duplication of another booking" or something like that. I'm hoping that means the first payment went through!!

    fingers crossed

  • -6

Me and the wife been trying for the last few hrs, no luck, me reckon its a SCAM!

    • +1

How can it be a scam? What exactly are they scamming you of?

Myself and others here have had success getting through. Just keep trying

  • +2

I wish I had the NBN.

    • +4

Turst me I have NBN and its no better

    • +1

It's not your connection. It's Jetstar's inability to cater to demand.

the worst part about this whole situation is the call centres are completely unable to see the promo and cannot price match.

      Bad business.

    • +1

This has nothing to do with the NBN. Even having a Terabit connection would do nothing to increase the capacity of jetstars network infrastructure.

      • It would make a difference if one has a download crappy ADSL speed of 1 Mbps as opposed to another who has a solid Cable or NBN download speed of 100 Mbps. Not to mention the occasional ADSL drop outs.

  • Got the email before I came to this thread. Total $444 for 2 adults & 1 child, checked luggage and seats over the Australia Day long weekend. Insane!

  • Urgh their website should be designed to cope better with this kind of load. Accepting their details and timing out on payment is a great way to p*ss off future customers.

    • All good fares in Jan gone now. What a waste of 2 hours.

  • Might be better to wait for the Air Asia offer and match it tomorrow…

  • I got as far as booking seats and extras now get "Gateway Timeout The proxy server did not receive a timely response from the upstream server." ARGH FFS.

  • -1

bah gateway timeout and now the $88 flights gone!!

    Poor form Jetstar

  • [1018:ClassNotAvailable] Sorry, we are unable to reserve the selected flight(s) at this time. Please return to the Flight Select page and choose another flight(s)

  • To those who had success with the bookings, which browser did you use?

I'm having trouble loading any pages!

    • +1

Does not matter what browser or internet connection you have, its Jetstar web server that is overloaded and they most probably only have a few seat allocations at that price!

  • I managed to book by downloading the app and booking through that

    • Yea I tried the app aswell but was really slow loading for me. I used the mobile sites on my iPad and managed to snag one. Mobile sites was pretty good actually.

  • Very limited availability ex MEL now…..

  • +1

I just got through finally using the android app. Took a lot of searching to find the $88 there and $33 back flights! Ended up getting a week in May for two people so I'm happy with that. The payment screen kept throwing up errors though so I checked and I've gotten the itinerary and money has been taken out so I'm just calling customer service to confirm.

    • +2

Just called and it's all confirmed. Ridiculously long time to get through and the availability was shrinking by the minute so good luck to everyone else!

      • What number did you call? I'm calling the 13 number but it keeps cutting off.

        • The 13 number…

      • what week in may? thinking of going too.
