Telstra Elite MF60 Wi-Fi Prepaid Modem + 1GB Data $15 @ Target

200

What a unbelievable price for a Wifi Modem, even cheaper than a USB one. Just saw it in this weeks catalog starting Wednesday

ALso the 1GB is decent for 4G as other carriers sell 1GB for $10 so effectively you re paying an additional $5 for a modem

Telstra will also unlock it for free if you tell them you are going overseas for a short trip (ive done it before several times)

It's only a 3G modem though, so what is the mention of 4G?

oops .. wouldnt it come with a 4G sim though to use with your 4G phone. Or you could easily replace the sim for free @ telstra shop

All Telstra SIMs are the able to operate on all of Telstra's network. So yes the SIM could be used on the 4G network in a 4G device.

Although it is buried there amongst other items.

  • I'm looking for a 3G WiFi dongle/device that I can use plugged into a powerbank's USB output (normally charges a phone from that output), eg, after a 1-off configuration cycle. Does this device - or another low-cost WiFi device - do this.

The goal, of course, is to be able to use a small amount of 3G data, across a day or longer.

    • I'm sure this would be charged via USB and can be used while changing. I have the Telsta 4G ZTE modem that is similar to this. It charges via USB and can be used while changing.
