TARGETMOBILECA70-OLLIE

This is an awesome robot/toy you control with your phone (iOS & Android) that speeds around at over 20km/h.

Standard price is USD$99.99 and this promo code gives you $30 off. Shipping to Australia is $30, so it effectively covers your shipping, landing here for around <$120, which is $30 cheaper than the current price of buying it from Apple stores (http://store.apple.com/au/product/HGP72ZM/A/ollie-by-sphero-…). Mine's on the way and can't get here soon enough!

NOTE: This promo code is NOT actually meant for Australians (it's for Target staff working in Canada) but I can confirm it works and my order has already shipped. If you're wanting to buy one of these, I suggest you do it quickly as they may deactivate the code if they see an influx of Australian orders using the promo code get Ozbargained.

Below is the description of what it does, but this video will show you all you need to know: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zi-5hbaGmuQ

  • not really robot more of car? there are others similar like Sphero v2.0.. are you sure this ollie is better?

    • Yeah, bit of a hard one to explain exactly what it is - will update the description to try to make it clearer.

    • I think it looks much better, and is faster, but here's some info comparing them: http://o.canada.com/technology/personal-tech/ollie-review-sp…

"Orbotix’s Ollie, is the newer, faster, trick-focused version of the company’s first robotic toy, the Sphero and its upgraded successor, the Sphero 2.0.

Instead of a glowing remote-control ball, the Ollie is a remote-control cylinder with two wheels. It has the ability to spin, jump and crash into objects at high speeds, although it’s important to point out it’s actually more difficult to control than the Sphero."

  • +1

I have the Sphero 2.0 and it is lots of fun with the kids and in the water. Was annoyed to hear that it was replaced with this new one so soon after I bought it. Definitely worth it at this price as my Sphero 2.0 was about AU$150.

    • i thought the round form would be more flexible? so based on your experience why ollie is better than shpero 2?

      • +2

Specs show that it is faster so probably more fun for older users. Also seems to be more rugged.

    • +1

Yeah I almost grabbed a Sphero 2.0 but glad I held off for the Ollie as it looks like it might be a little more versatile (and faster), but I'm sure the 2.0 is still a fun toy to play around with.

    • I don't think Ollie is a replacement. They're going to market them side-by-side.

  • Boo. Discount code no longer works as 'the maximum number of users of the discount has been exceeded'!

Would've been a good gift for my nephew!
