Hmm I got a mixed box of 12 Carmen's at regular price from Coles for $9.50 recently. Not sure if this is a deal considering postage factored in you might save 10 cents.

  • Great deal- have free shipping as a catch club member so well and truly a good deal!

    This is nothing special.
Regular box has 5-6 bars in it.
Regular price $5/box at Woolies = $25-$20 for 24 bars.
On special a couple of weeks ago for $2.50/box = $12.50-$10 for 24 bars.

  • Supermarket specials kill most of their deals unless you don't hunt around or ready the weekly dogalogues.

15% sugar, nearly 200 calories. Not a suitable breakfast, kind of high calories for a snack. Spose a mars bar would be much worse but I suspect an apple and a small tub of natural yogurt and or a handful of almonds might be better.

Get off it.. 15% sugar is nothing, especially when it's from the fruit in the bar. And a lot of those calories are from the nuts also in the bar.

        It's a 45g snack with 7 grams of sugar, it's 15%
It's still 200 calories for 45grams of food, whereas an apple is around 100 calories for around 100 to 150grams.

These are a calorie dense, packaged and processed food, vs a handful of nuts / apple.
Sure it's not a snickers but anyone eating this under the pretense it's healthy is kidding themselves.

        • meh, these are still the healthiest bar around in terms of fat and sugar content. One bar fills you up. Far batter than the cereals and other bars out there. I'd say it's healthier than what 95%+ of people in Aus have for breakfast.

  • how do you become a catch club member?

    • It is $79 per year.

I got the option to add the club membership when I logged into my account and put in a pair of sandals yesterday. It just appeared in my cart.

I could not find the item from COTD website, I did do a google search on club membership. The item it linked to was out of stock.

  • My favourite is Carman's Dark Choc Espresso Roasted Nut Bars. I stock up when they go on a half price special.
