  • Thanks Unity! Fair drive for me, but I know plenty that'll jump on to this :)

Why did they get rid of this dinner box value for NSW/ACT?

    • NSW still has the dinner boxes. I got one a few weeks ago unless it has stopped since then?

I feel sorry for the people working that shift. That's insane. They should get double pay for that shift.

  • +15

Dayum I'm gonna go solo on one of these meals

Getting fat has never been so affordable, thanks OP!

  • Damn, so cheap!! Pitty I'm in WA =(
Grandparents live in Glen Waverly though. Maybe I'll have to pay them a visit ^.^

  • is it wrong to drive 10k for cheap maccas?

    • +2

10k is nothing, get in the car ya cheap bast*rd!

      I'm 400k away and for a microsecond I contemplated it :)

  • +4

    That's crazy cheap -_-

I work for maccas and those $20 starter ones are already pretty cheap especially when you start to add all the items seperately

for $10 it's amazing value, but I wouldn't want to be working during that time, because no doubt everyone will be like hmm and uhhh we should just get two of em! ;)

  • thats great and just up the road

  • How does this get 74 votes for one store? Do that many people live near this store on ozbargain?

    • +1

Who said you have to live near it?

      • +1

Just odd that's all, others post things exclusively to SA yet no one votes. in Vic everyone votes.

        • Vics are better Ozbargainers.

So sad that a pile of junk like that is called a "family dinner box". Not much hope for a family when the best the parents can do is serve up a pile of fattening crap while sending a portion of the profits to a giant US multinational :-(

    • +6

You know it's ok to enjoy junk food every now and then. There's no need for you to put people down because they enjoy it just because you don't.

      • It's more the people that make it a regular habit that my comments were aimed at. Also, if you are going to consume junk, why not support a local business rather than send a part of the profits overseas?

        • +8

so you have never purchased anything from any overseas company at anytime ? and everything you have ever purchased is 100% aussie made/produced ? I'd love to take a walk through your house

        • @warmbeer05: It must be made out of vegemite.

        • +1

@northerly: Vegemite, now owned by the American company, Mondelēz International

        • +1

@Sammy2000: ah! must be living on the streets then.

  • Enough for dinner, breakfast and lunch the next day!

  • +1

I'm surprised it's only 5pm-11pm as all 5 local stores in our surrounding area sells dinner boxes all throughout day (From 10.15am onwards!!)

    • +2

Maybe to cope with demand, they have to wait for their younger staff members to come home from school first?

  • anyone been through there yet

  • +3

50 minute wait for food after ordering

    • Haha, I'd nope the hell out of there if I had to wait almost an hour for fast food!

      • think i wiil do a drive by there later, 1/2 price or not life's to short to wait that long for a burger or 30

  • Can someone comment how this is going, take photo's etc, I wanna see there massive rush ;D

    • 4k video would be better,, rush ? or carnage

  • Holy cow it's causing traffic jams. I also think someone got rear ended

    • There was an accident on High Street Road but that was in the outbound lanes going towards Wantirna South. Maybe they had just been to Maccas and were rushing home to eat.

  • extra points for anyone who eats the dinner box + few of the $1 large Frozen Coke's

  • Why so far? I'm hungry now!

  • +2

Took exactly 1 hour in drive-through….. Kids happy now!

    • That's dedication.

    • Suprised it has taken so long because they usually leave out half the order

  • Stuck at the drive through for an hour….but worth it!

  • On site waiting inside the shop, with my greater half and the family of Sparklyglo… 38 mins gone and possibly 7 orders away.. been a night of laughs lolz

    • What's the biggest order you have seen ie biggest number of dinner boxes?

  • Yes… we have food… no drinks ETA yet hahaha!

  • 2-3 dinner boxes so i guess 12 burgers… 12 drinks!

  • Got drinks now so it was like 45 mins all up

  • I wonder how much of a cut maccas is getting from the red light camera on corner? Some frustrated drivers around

    • I was over at the glen watching for a while, seriously funny stuff of people waiting in line for 2 seconds then taking off

    • Wonder how much of a cut unity1 is getting for drumming up so much business

  • +2

Once it hits 11pm there might be some of this going on:

People actually put this shit in their body?

  • +1

Just came past there, if people are only waiting an hour in drive-thru then maccas is doing a bloody fine job

  • +1

drove past earlier tonight, i was just gobsmacked at the length of the lines.

is it really worth waiting up to an hour to save at most $12 bucks?

honestly speaking, don't people have better things to do on a friday night?
