  • Gift Cards expire 3 months after issue?

    • I think that's only referring to the $10 eGift cards. The physical ones expire 24 months after it's first purchased; not too sure about the $100 eGift card.

I think you are right kerfuffle. From the DJs website:

"DAVID JONES EGIFT CARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS
eGift cards are treated as cash and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. eGift Cards may only be used for purchases in David Jones stores and cannot be returned or exchanged for cash or used to pay any David Jones branded Credit Card account or other Credit Card accounts. The funds available can be verified on request or at time of purchase at any point of sale in a David Jones store. No change is given and any balance that remains on the card can be used in whole or part against future purchases in David Jones stores. eGift Cards expire 24 months after issue. Any balance that remains on the eGift Card after expiry will not be available for use."

  • Do you have to buy 10x$100?
or can I buy just a single $1000?

"Bonus eGift cards will be issued by email to the purchaser in denominations of $5, to a maximum of $100."

So you may get 20x $5 eGC and note that DJ online only accepts max 5 giftcard.

    • how about instore? are there max gift card amount?

      • I think you'll just get one bonus EGc for full amount earned. Maybe there will be more info on DJs website tomorrow once the offer goes live.

    • ltw1977 I thought it meant if you buy $200 in EGcs you get a $20 eGC, if you buy $500 in EGcs you get a $50 eGC, etc. Not two separate $5 EGCs for every $100 you purchase.

      • i hope i am wrong too.

but from the website you can buy only $100 x 5 eGC at one time???

        • You are right. Might want to call DJs to ask advice if you want to buy more than $500 as that seems to be the limit set up on the website.

        • @spacecowboy:

But this does not stop you from using different accounts to buy multiple times right

        • @ltw1977: Probably easier to tell them you want $1000 worth but can only buy $500 online at present. There might be a workaround they can do. If you want more than $1,000 worth I guess multiple accounts is an option.

Is this promo on? I added $100 gift card just now but saw nothing extra added to my cart.

    • The deal is now featured on their webpage. Try going to checkout & see if it appears. If not might be worth calling them to query it?

  • I was considering to buy this to get IPad Air 2 but it seems like it is not available in DJ yet.

    • For some reason Ipad Air 2 models aren't on listed the DJs website yet, but they are selling them instore at DSE kiosk. Not all DJs carry iPads, I know Bondi Junction & Market St carry them in Sydney. Don't know which suburban stores do though.

  • Anyone bought the eGC? how soon do you get the bonus eGC?

I wonder can you buy a single $1000 GC (with Pin) using 10x $100 eGC so you can use them online?

Hmmm. Tried to purchase 5 x $100 giftcards, then I received this message.

      same

    • I called up and the guy told me I cannot use my yahoo or gmail account for this purchase. I gave it another try by using non-yahoo gmail account but still no luck. Ended up I have to call up to make the purchase.
