    $5.65 delivery for me

  • it seems the 512gb version is better as it has a 500/550 read/write speed compared to the lower models tailing off at 350 -> 100mb write speed due to the NAND chips? is the 500/550 read speed good for this price?

    • 512GB has more memory chips on the board, so more lanes to write to simultaneously, hence the higher speeds. IOPS and non-sequential read/writes are more important than the sequential speeds posted to determine how good it is.

Weaker AU$ makes this much less attractive.

  • i am using it right now, wonderful drive. :)
speed on par with Samsung EVO.
In reality, very few people can notice difference in above 500/mbs performance on typical PCs

Doubt anyone here is following it all but anyone know if any decent m.2 NGFF SSD's are out yet, besides that weird Samsung XP one? There's a huge price premium on the things, but I'd like to see maybe more ofthem come out eventually at reasonable prices.

We'll all be using those in 2 to 5 years. SATA ports will be reserved for platter drives and optical

    • UPDATE: did hours of research, avoid m.2 / ngff like the plague, serious serious heat issues and boot issues etc. Wait for next round of intel chipsets for a start.

That's $232.44 AUD for all us Aussies.

    • Thanks, pretty good price too. Is it a reasonable disk? I thought I remember reading a review putting it a bit lower on the rung than most others?

True it's not as fast as a Samsung 850 Evo, but you won't notice that difference 90% of the time, and Crucial SSDs have a supercapacitor (power-failure protection) and RAIN (lots of reserve NAND); only Intel and Crucial (a.k.a. Micron) are really favoured by OEMs for enterprise workstations and servers, because of their reliability.

  • Almost cheap enough to consider an SSD over a SSHD for a PS4 upgrade.

    • Haven't seen much of a difference from the guides on youtube.
I am thinking the loading bottleneck isn't the speed of the drive

    • Have read that you wont notice a difference.

I'm sorry but the link for Camel… the end of the url is unfortunate…

    • Nicely spotted sir.

I was going to grab this but it comes just under $250 with AU conversion including the $6 FREE shipping haha. Its not worth it. You can get this locally for $265. That extra $15 is well worth the local warranty + future insurance.

  • ShoppingExpress have them for $239 on special free shipping
