20% off All Video Games @ Dungeon_Crawl eBay Store (Using eBay Toy Sale Code)

445
CWORLDOFTOYS

Dungeon_Crawl is having a 20% off eBay store video game sale. I'm buying COD and Halo master edition for $57 each. For all those interested. They are ridiculously quick and reliable, as well as being pretty much the cheapest source for games before discounted prices. Link to their eBay Page: http://www.ebay.com.au/usr/dungeon_crawl?_trksid=p2047675.l2…

Code is part of the eBay big Sunday 20% off toy sale

  • That's the same date as the 20% off sale for toys on ebay. Wonder if the toys sale does include video games or if it's just an extra sale for Dungeon crawl only.

    • +1

Exactly what i thought. I looked under the "Toys" section on eBay and that doesn't seem to include Video Games.

  • They have a number of games already on sale - what is likely to happen to the prices of those ones?

    • +7

I'm trying to put my days of being critical on the internet behind me but I have to politely wonder how you thought people external to the company would know the answer to that question, to the point where you could trust their information and wait on buying something.

      Message them on ebay.

      • +2

Politely, I have to wonder why a person who is trying not to be critical on the internet is being critical on the internet.

        • +2

They're not, they are suggesting they message the seller. It's a valid point. Use same basic critical thinking and, I dunno, contact the actual people selling.

        • I said I'm trying to put those days behind me, I didn't say that if I found someone standing outside a store, asking passers by whether they thought the shoes in the store window would be on sale next week, that I might not suggest going inside.

        • The way he worded it seemed very condescending though. lol

    • Just picked up far cry 4 for xbone, which was already reduced on the store to $72. Paid $57.

  • +6

The biggest problem I have with Dungeon Crawl is, they're really dishonest about release dates. Their Ebay page will say the game will ship XYZ date..but then they'll constantly update the Ebay page for that game, and it'll get later and later.

This isn't a problem when you're buying stuff that's already released. They're a very good store. But when it comes to something you actually want to play Day 1, and you expect it at a certain time…or it's been promised at a certain time, they're very unreliable.

    • I've had no issues with their pre-orders. I pre-ordered FIFA 15 and GTA and FIFA was sent and received a day before its official release in AUS, whilst GTA came a day or so later. Frankly you will be getting a cheaper product at the cost of a few days postage, or in my case regarding FIFA, it may even come earlier.

    • Well they do import their stock from overseas contacts, not like they can control international shipping times. I'm more disappointed that their brick 'n mortar store has inconsistent prices with their online store and their refusal to match their own prices.

      • +1

What I don't like about DC, is they sell a lot of US copy games while compatible with our systems should be cheaper than UK imports

      • Their Melbourne city store closed, so that problem of differing prices won't ocurr any more.

        • Oh, well yeah I haven't been in years due to that problem. Ridiculous that their store prices were more expensive than their online store with shipping.

        • @plmko:
I had a similar experience about a year ago, but the guy ended up matching their online price for me.

      • I'm more disappointed that their brick 'n mortar store has inconsistent prices with their online store and their refusal to match their own prices.

They closed down their store late last year to focus on online sales which was also their reason for having higher prices in store. You were paying for the ability to go to their shop and that costs extra $$$

        • Also, if you joined their loyalty program they gave you their online price

    • +2

Not to mention that most of their games are NTSC format, yes they do say they are region free, but on 3 occassions I have bought Xbox360 games from them and found them to not work in my Australian console. They did offer a full refund if I paid to post them back to them, which I did.

From those experiences I wouldn't trust them at all, took me 3 times to give up on them though.

  • +6

i have a feeling prices will increase on a few items.

    • +1

I got excited till I seen the price of COD advanced warfare at the top of ps4 games for…. $117.

      • Thats a PAL version. Buy this one which will be another version NTC or something rather. It does work for PAL consoles. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Call-of-Duty-COD-Advanced-Warfare…

        • +2

Yes but the dlc will be region locked requiring you to have a us account and a way to add funds to said account.

        • @snakes: Damn, really? That might actually change my thoughts on purchasing from them. Halo should be fine, because i don't aim to buy DLC, but COD might be a different story.

        • @snakes: thanks for that info, would of been p****d if I had to go through all that when you just want to play it.
Too shifty anyway considering they are trying to make extra profit off the ebay sale.

  • +3

Looks like the ps4 games have already been put up by 20%

    • I presume you mean 25%

      • Oldest retailer trick in the book - a few days/a week before your big 10% sale just put all the prices up by 10%. Apply to different percentages as needed. 20% in this case.

    • this is pretty shit effort :(

  • +11

Wow! Kingdom Hearts 3D Dream Drop Distance [3DS] was $999.99, now $69.99.

  • wondering if it may apply for their xbox one gold/ ps plus cards as they are listed on video games ?

    • I got live gold in the last toy sale (that sale didn't exclude consoles but I don't think this will be any different)

  • +1

This is just the 20% off toys ebay deal so isn't it technically a dupe?

    • -1

It's still not clear if the toys ebay deal actually includes video games.

  • +1

Had a quick look and Works out only about a dollar cheaper than DS pre order from what i can see… And thats if they dont jack up the prices overnight

    • +1

      Sorry, what is DS?

      • Dick Smith.

      • +1

You don't know what DS is? Are you are Bot?

        • Hah, no. Sorry for my ignorance about Dick Smith, haven't shopped there that much. Are they really that much cheaper? Their eBay store seems to be relatively expensive having Destiny at $79 as well as $5 postage, in contrast to DC who has it for $67 including shipping before the possibly 20% discount.

        • Dick Smith has been running specials the last few months with new releases having pre order prices at $59. A few times even cheaper with one day specials on some games.

  • Pretty sure they jacked up the price from $60 to $70 on the PS3 version of Fifa 15

  • +7

Disagree with reliable and cheapest source parts in the OP.

I have been sent the wrong game twice and both times had to pay to send it back myself with no credit. (This was a couple years back)

As far as being cheap, if you know where to shop online, you can get them cheaper. DC pretty much just import the game for you. Why use the middle man?

And if it is just an Ebay deal, it's not much of a sale. Have to laugh whenever their email arrives and they announce they are having an Ebay only sale.

    • does anyone know of any places actually in Australia who offer better prices?

  • G2a is selling cod aw for $45 usd? Not sure if $57 is worth the bargain here.

    • Console gamers can't buy from g2a

  • Please post the code if available.

  • If your eager for Halo MCC and want it day one, you shouldn't buy it from here since they start posting around the 17th. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Halo-Master-Chief-Collection-Halo…

    • That's because they import their games. Lel

  • CWORLDOFTOYS <———————————— 20% CODE

  • Code is 'CWORLDOFTOYS'. Just tried it and it brought COD AW PS3 version down from $72.76 to $58.21 delivered.

    • Does it work with all games or just Dungeon Crawl's store?

      • Seems to work on all games from what others have said here.

  • +3

sorry what was the code again?

  • Seems to work with games pre-orders too, make sure to use 'Add to Cart' and checkout from there.
Clicking the 'Buy It Now' button doesn't seem to allow you to add the code.

    • What about game auctions?

      • no clue lol, perhaps if the auction ends before the code expires you can still use it, although not 100% sure.

        • Worked fine. Thanks.

  • Not a great deal from them actually.

  • Super Smash Bros WII-U $55.92. Save $13.98 - Free delivery.

    • +2

If you wanted to get the sound track and mewtwo from registering both the wii u and 3ds version I'd assume you cant do it with this imported version though.

  • Could not find any Wii U or 3DS games cheaper than local EBGames even after the 20%off code, anyone?

  • Super Smash Bros is $79 pre order at EB, as above. $55.92 free delivery at DC (with code)

    • yep looks like they've increased the price on this now. now $76 before code.

  • +6

Scummy Dungeon Crawl increased the price of Smash Bros from $69 to $81

    • +1

Was going to buy it until they did this. Now I'll just wait for the catalogue prices and buy it elsewhere on principle.

    • But with the code, the price comes down to $65. Still not too bad.

      • $10 more than it was 2 hours ago.

        • +2

exactly, I'll take my chances with it being $59 at Target or something during its launch week, but even if the cheapest is $69 I'd rather pay the extra four bucks than support this dodgy behaviour.

  • +9

don't buy from dungeon crawl, they just jacked up their prices by 20%! do an ebay search yourself for whatever you want and then buy the cheapest from there cos the code works for all sellers.

    • Basically did this and picked up the new CoD on PC for $53 from another retailer.

  • +9

Why are all these people voting this up, when it is clear to see that DC have upped the prices on all new release games by 20%? Take no notice of the struck out prices, the games are imports and are NOT guaranteed to work on all consoles.

Surprised they are allowed to continue trading in Australia…obviously not enough ACCC complaints yet.

    • +4

Also they are misleading by saying it's a Dungeon Crawl sale when every single game is 20% off on ebay.

  • Man most games I want are overpriced…

Super Smash Bros for 3DS? Only comes in a foreign double pack.. $150.

You can buy it at Big W for $48 each now..

  • +1

Dick Smith with ING paywave is where it's at. Legit day 1 Australian copy.

Even if you don't have ING as the bank, Dick smith has been the place for new release games.

  • +1

Sent these guys a message asking why price for Killer i stinct on Xbone changed from $24 to $30 yesterday arvo. They said because of market fluctuations. I sent one back saying markets are usually closed sundays so it must be fluctuating with the 20% offer and that if they want to sell to me at yesterdays price to let me know.

They didnt come back to me.
