      • You're right, although it looks like no gift cards or tickets. Hopefully there will be something good!

They could have done better than $10 for $10 Scoopon Credit + $10 Myer Digital Gift Card

Scoopon VIP Event ($5 for a $10 Scoopon Coupon & BONUS $10 Myer Digital Gift Card) [https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/156139]

    • I didn't even pick up on that! Cheers, won't have to lurk and refresh every minute now

  • Jack Threads Credit is live, as is Secure Parking - although that's only NSW.

    Pretty disappointing sale thus far.

Thanks for the effort of compiling everything though OP :)

    • +7

Yeah. The hotel offer in Sydney isn't great. Kinda regretting scraping plans for today for this.

  • alright just checking in. Let's do this.

PS thx OP and everyone else who chipped in.

  • parking one shows as $29, not $19

  • +7

    Well that was a letdown…

        • @battler:

And the possiblity of Virtual machine(s) installed in the laptop :)

    • I'm impressed.

  • Can only be used at Secure Parking facilities that accept Advantage Parker. See locations at http://bit.ly/1sAPATd

That list includes the other states so unsure it's for NSW only or not.

    • I purchased this for Melbourne, and the application form is just the same for the regular Advantage Parker card. They'll send you the normal card pre-loaded with $90 or $150, there will be no differentiation that it was a scoopon card.

      • Thanks, Bought one for use in Melbourne too, based on your reply.

        • So you think that it will be fine for Melbs too using the NSW link to buy?

        • +2

Just called Secure Parking. According to the lady (Ashley) I spoke to, it's a NSW based offer only.

        • @mnicola: thanks so much for finding out! You're awesome!

        • +1

Odd, I also purchased this for Melb and clearly stated my address is VIC (as they will send physical card) and my application went through. Got email reply back in 10 minutes or so.

So unless they can lockdown the applied credit for NSW only(as an IT guy this sounds unlikely), it seems like OK for the other states.

        • @heingray: Again, this is from the brief chat I had, they are apparently able to determine which site you park at. It's a swipe card you use to enter/exit.

I'm gutted that this is the case. I'd purchase one in a sec.

        • @mnicola:

          Feedback direct from Scoopon.

Thanks for your question about this deal.

The Scoopon offer is valid for use only in NSW.
The Secure Parking team will not be able to provide credit for any interstate locations that are not participating in this promotion.

So, this means that the Secure Parking credit/card cannot be used outside of New South Wales.

I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful to you on this occasion.

          Kind regards,

          Jordan
          Customer Service Team

      • so it can be used to pay any booking at https://au.secure-a-spot.com/home/carparksearch ?

      • Limit of 1 Scoopon may be purchased per person. Scoopon valid for 1 car. Maximum of 1 Scoopon redeemable per booking

Says that, but does it record your carplate immediately? Or does it look like a "gift card" with a balance, i.e. you can use it with different cars?

        • The application form only has name, no plate numbers. Not saying it'd work though, but you can try.

    • +1

It would be good if there was confirmation

      • +2

Yes - can we get confirmation? This would be an awesome deal, effectively spend $1 = $3 worth of parking

      • see my post above.

    • I'd like to know if this can be used for any time of parking? E.g. does $150 credit = 6 days of early bird parking (~$25) for $49?

  • Kayano 19 at $70 seems a good price. Although it's an old model and only small sizes left.

  • hotels are tomorrow.

  • got it, thanks!!

  • Got a Myer voucher no problem, thanks OP!

  • thanks got the myer credit.

  • +1

is there Event tickets? or was the movie tickets the Reading ones? What else is there tomorrow besides hotels?

  • Thanks, pity you can only purchase 1 10$ credit / myer coupon.

  • The Myer GC's seem to be selling slower this time. Last few times they were gone in first 15mins.

    • +6

Last time were $5, so it's 100% more expensive this time :)

  • Can you buy multiple gift cards?

  • +3

the price of Reading Cinemas is more expensive then usual price at Harbour Town one. So pass.

  • Any idea when does the Sydney hotel deal comes on?

    • Never mind, answered my own question.
      Starts @ 4.30pm AEDT tomorrow.

      • Is that the same for the other states?

  • +4

Have to say it's less "WOW" factor in the recent Scoopon sales, price has increased in most "deals", e.g. the mystery hotel used to be $40 in May then increase to $50 in August and now $60…yawning

    • Pretty sure the $40 deal was the birthday sale though. You expect that to be better deals.

  • Got the myer GC
    Thanks OP

  • virus detected from scoupon website both chrome and mozilla browser.. anyone has similar issue?

  • My reading cinema charges $10, which is standard… Not sure if its just my local.

  • +1

Damn I wish that $7 for $20 COTD credit deal popped up again. These deals have been mediocre.

  • +1

Optus Rewards has $10 Reading Cinema tickets all the time (but restricted after 5pm on Sat), so its not the best deal on the movie tickets.

  • +1

Anyone know, when is event cinema promotion start?

    • No sight of the Event Cinema deal.

      • Think someone got Movie Tickets and last years Event tickets mixed up.

  • All hotels except perth sold out… Only a matter of time.

Did you see the exclusions? Not valid on mon-thur, which means only fri sat sun nights@!

    • Where did you see that? The Melbourne's one only saying not valid Sat, 31 Dec. Not that it matter much (usually it's other way around, not valid for weekend). Ours lasted a minute or 2, was sold out when I refreshed on 4:32 my computer time :)

      • +2

Apologies, it was in the t&c for the brisbane hotel. I didnt realise the others would have different black out dates. My bad.

        • No need. Was just curious, all good and hope you got it :))

  • Hotel for 60 in bris beautiful rang up got my sunday night booking no dramas

  • Got the Sydney hotel and booked for the soccer in January. Good times.
