That's an 11% price increase from last month…

      Hi JV

We try and negotiate the best deals we can with T-Mobile. Depending on the feedback we receive we try and place products on sale. Also as you can appreciate there has been a significant fall in the Australian dollar in recent times and as such has partially impacted on the price increase. Regardless, as you would agree, this is still a very good deal as you get 50% off item. And with the way the Australian dollar is traveling the savings would increase.

at the end of the day, it's still an 11% price increase from last month…

  • Not bad, shame the price increase.

  • Have purchased the previous special from Simcorner I will say that the product is great and is exactly as advertised.

I do agree that the price increase is a problem though.

I'm sure that Simcorner will hopefully have another sale in future that matches the previous one. As we will be likely to use them in the future.

  • Whats with the strictness??

    • what do you mean mate?

  • I've bought from SimCorner before, and was very happy with the product. Used it in the US without any issues. The customer service was lacklustre though - I had sent them an email with a qeuestion re recharging, but never got an answer back.

I'm thinking about purchasing another SIM from them, but I have a question.

Rep - are you able post this out to an address in the U.S, if I am already on my holiday?

    • I had sent them an email with a qeuestion re recharging

Why didn't you call them ?

      • Hi JV

Hopefully you have received a response to your email. If you haven't yet received a response, please private message us here and I can respond to your query :)

    • Hi Ah

Yes we can post to a USA address, generally it will take between 5-10 business days, and international express shipping to USA is $16

  • Isn't this a better deal?

  • What would you recommend for a 5 day stay in the US and then a month later a 2 week stay?

    • check LYCA Mobile USA website, their plans might be of ur interest

    • Hi Trance N Dance

Depending on how much you require, not sure if this would be suitable for the 5 days, however, you should really consider getting this sim card for your 2 week stay in USA.

Just back from my trip to NY using a SimCorner T-Mobile sim. All in all I was very happy with the product as it proved to be invaluable before, during and after my running of the NY marathon where finding family/friends is almost impossible without a mobile. I did find however that T-Mobile was not as reliable as other providers as I lost my connection on the subway on several occasions where others did not and areas of JFK seemed to be problematic too. With that said, the deal that SimCorner offered certainly was value for money in my opinion, having access to apps like Embark NYC and maps while on the go was more than worth the cost let alone being able to call landlines in AU as part of the deal!

  • Hi Rep & All

Just purchased this and looking to buy a very cheap sim for my wife (we will be together most of the time but just would like to have something for emergencies).

    Any recommendations?

    Cheers

      hi calebcaleb

The cheapest sim we have is the $50 option. Alternatively you can wait till you get to USA and purchase a blank sim card for about $10 and then top up with $10 credit. She wont get data, but she will get a number that you can call her on and she would get some local talk time minutes to call your phone.

      • Thanks for the reply!

  • Hi Rep,
if i purchase today will I receive the simcard by Monday morning, as I fly on out Monday afternoon

    • Hi Tymacca,

You'll need to select express shipping option upon checkout.

Can you please advise which state you are flying out of?

      • Hi, am flying out of NSW. Any chance I will receive on Friday if I select express shipping option

        • Yes, we have a location in Sydney so we will have it dispatched today so you receive it tomorrow or by Friday at the latest but please place your order as soon as possible.

        • please also e-mail us once you have purchased at: [email protected]

  • Hi there. Excuse my ignorance but what device would I have to own to take advantage of T mobile's network. A quick glance online seems to show that most Australian devices don't support the 1700mhz spectrum for hspa. Thanks in advance.

    • Hi Alexhng, you can take advantage of T-Mobiles network and the HSPA+ speeds if you have the 1900mhz band as well which many smart phones have.

If you can let us know which phone you will be using we can confirm for you.

  • So is the 1900 MHz band available in all places in US or only in limited places? I Will be using either iPhone 5s or lg g2 au version thanks.

    • the 1900 MHz band will be available in the major cities. Please note T-Mobile coverage in rural areas is limited.

The iPhone 5s or LG g2 will be fine however, i recommend using the iPhone 5s as it has more bands.

      • Thanks

        • Another question, your website require us to submit an imei. Is the sim tied to that imei? Thanks.

        • @alexhng:

No it is not, we just require an IMEI number for activation purposes. However you can swap the sim cards in different phones.

  • Thanks Rep, I've just purchased one

  • I purchased two of these from the previous deal, good bargain! I'm leaving on Saturday and I would like to know how do I receive my usa mobile number beforehand?

    • It's text to you once you turn your phone back on with the SIM in once on US soil.

      • Hi spastic

When you land in the USA and it connects to the network for the first time - you will receive a message from T-Mobile advising you what your local phone number is.

        • So there isn't a way where I can know my number before I leave the country?

        • @spastic:

Depending on the duration of your trip we may be able to inform you of your phone number earlier. Can you please email us at [email protected], noting your order number, and we will be able to let you know.

  • Hi Rep, will this work on an Australian Telstra Samsung GS3 in Vegas and Hawaii?
    Thx

    • Hi adamwf,

The calls and texts will work fine. Depending on which exact version you have from Telstra I will be able to confirm if you will get fast or slow data speeds.

If you can please provide the exact model number by going to settings>More>about device.

Alternatively, if you can please just dial *#06# on your device and advise of the IMEI number that comes up via private message we can check the exact model for you.

      • Model number GT-I9305T
        Baseband Version I9305TDVBLL3

Is that the info u need?
        Thx

        • Unfortunately, with that particular model you probably won't get fast internet speeds.

Most modern smart phones will be fine but that particular model doesn't get fast internet speeds. Calling and texting will be fine.

  • I can say that the the sim works well. Purchased the unlimited sim from a previous deal and happy with the coverage. Only issue is that you cant call australian mobiles. For calling home and continuoulsy checking up on the kids (landline) it was excellent. The data was great for googling everything whilst on the road and out and about.

    • Hi Sterio,

      Thanks for your feedback.

Just for future reference it's not that you can't call Australian Mobiles with the sim, it's that you need to add credit to do so. Calls to Australian mobiles are $0.20 per minute. So if you topped up $10 credit it will give you approximately 1 hour talk time back to Australian mobiles.

      Again, appreciate the feedback.

  • Hi Rep,
    Is the deal still available?
    Thanks
    Andy

    • Hi step_andy

Unfortunately this deal has now ended.

  • Hey rep are you doing another deal or can you honour the deal that was active while we were sorting phone viability via PM? I tried buying it after we were talking via PM but it came up expired last week after u confirmed my phone was OK to use. Also have had no further responses from you guys via my PMs??

    • Hi adamwf,

      please see PM.
