What's the stance on trademarked images, say the Dunder Mifflin logo?

    • +2

you can probably go nuts, I'd take a guess and say no one is checking every mug they print.

Only problem you might have would be with a banknote, they might have something in the system that checks for that (some colour photo copiers do apparently).

        "One big mac meal please"
        "Yes that'll be $7"
hands over mug with a $50 note printed on it

        • +7

The crime there would be $7 for a Big Mac meal.

  • the website is so so slow

I went to buy 1, ended up buying 9. I swear being a bargain hunter does not equate to saving money 90% of the time.

    I ordered three mugs.

    Zorg Industries Logo
    Brawndo Logo (It's got electrolytes!)
And a 'Know Your Chemicals, Do Not Inhale Fumes No Matter How Good They Smell' image from Portal

    • Zorg logo… I might have to take your advice

  • This is perfect. I'll be taking a gag photo and having it printed on a canvas for my sister in-laws Christmas present. Now she will get a matching mug.

    • +1

Hmmm I wonder what type of 'gag' it is with your sister in-law ;)

  • Good one bloke. I might get a few and pick them up.

Very frustrating web interface, took ages to load. And then it did not give any size information but just cut off lots of my image, making it sort of squarish.

Does HN/Fuji print only on one side of the mug? The free ones I got from Snapfish a while ago were printed all around, except of course where the handle is.

    • Yes, you need to choose a full wrap or whole image mug type.

      • Found it, although I started with the whole mug it defaulted back to the right hand one. I had to go back to the shopping cart in the app window and select the wrap around. Getting there, slowly…

    • +1

Yes it is very frustrating. Plus they don't give you an actual preview of the final product (like VistaPrint does), which makes it somewhat difficult to see what it will look like.

  • Just took some photos of me doing a blue steel and a suggestive mime pose like I am breaking out with the text best mug ever. I am sure my mother in law will love it.

  • Great Deal ordered 16 mugs

  • Not sure why, but when I uploaded an artwork it went all low-res on me on the last screen. Original is 9819 x 7011 JPG, so I tried shrinking it to various degrees (even all the way down to ~25%) with no difference. Uploaded a camera photo and that was high res no problem! :/

All the previews when uploading looked fine; even gave me the right dimensions. Not sure where/why they image converted the art but not the photos…

  • Finally got my mug from Officeworks - http://i.imgur.com/d7YgwZM.jpg

It will stand proud next to my Swingline Stapler.

Just picked up 100 mugs from HN. The girl at the counter seemed amused… Very good print quality, and exactly 10 business days! Still waiting on 3 other mugs…

  • LOL @ spending $500 on mugs. Photo or it never happened.. :)
