Do you mean the price of the deal has increased 3 folds or the normal price?
Shocked that the cone ice cream at McD went from 30c to 50c few weeks ago. Checked the other outlet and was the same. That is almost 100% increase!
McD's prices in general have gone through the roof.
A few years back it was $0.60, and it was $0.50 about 10 years ago, so I think at $0.30, they are loosing money, factoring in all the costs.
Those $1 waffle choc cones are amazing though!
At least a bottle of water is now what it should be. $4 for a bottle of water at some places here in Melbourne and a going rate of $3+
$0.30 is suppose to be a loss. It's called a loss leader. It's meant to get you into the store where you'll be tempted to buy other things.

at almost $4 for a crappy whopper id rather go to a fish and chip shop and get a real burger for $4, not a frozen microwaved frisbee.

Breakfast muffin is actually 5cents cheaper. Old coupon was $3.00 however it was an omelette muffin
