  • Looks like 25 USD shipping to Australia.

  • Good deal for a card equivalent to a GTX 750 Ti or R7 260X (see http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-rev…)

But make sure you have the space inside your case and a beefy PSU.

Probably ideally suited to someone building a gaming PC who wants to save a bit more before getting a high-end GPU?

Would be a fantastic temp GPU while you wait for a AMD 20nm R9 390X with 4000 GPU cores as well as Featuring HBM Memory that's 9X Faster Than GDDR5 and will blow away the 28nm Nvidia GTX 890 ( Current fastest )

I think the AMD will be twice or three times as fast. 20nm and HBM is REALLY THAT GOOD!

      • 390X won't be anywhere near 2 or 3 times as fast as the GTX980. It'll most likely be ~20-30% faster.

HBM doesn't necessarily increase performance, e.g. a card might have 8 regular RAM chips, swapping to HBM might mean it'll only come with 2 instead of 8. If they were to use 8 HBM chips they would have to increase the width of the memory controller significantly which I'm doubting they would.

Then again maybe I don't know what I'm talking about.

Even if there were a quantum leap in performance and technology, history shows the companies only trickle out minor improvements, and jack us with premium prices the whole way. Think x86.

I would avoid trusting a used card, especially when the warranty is only 7 days, also its a high power consuming card

  • if you have money to waste on this 'deal' then you may as well PayPal me the cash, the result will be the same.

7 day warranty? Used video card? US$25 shipping? Yeah, no thanks.

yeah the new 7850 for 80 odd dollars was an infinitely better deal than this.

  • Has this been used to mine cryptocurrency already? If so, then it probably has severely reduced lifespan.

    • I think they are a bit too old for the recent GPU-mining rush.
