$149 setup fee is the deal killer. Also how much it will cost if I don't have a phone already (I am with Optus atm and have their voip number)?

    • +1

This would be a MUCH better deal if this fee was waived.

      • +1

Setup fee could be waived if you sign up for 12 or 24 months contract.

Setup fee could be waived if you sign up for 12 or 24 months contract.
If you want to bundle with your phone phone would be $69.95 per month and you will receive a router for free(on 24 months contract).

How much without the 'free' router

      • +1

        What are the "Premium" routers?

        Wifi speed? VoIP?

  • +1

What's the speed of the NBN for $39.95? Also at top of the page it say's "From $39.95" whilst in the print it says "For only $39.95" ?

    • +1

You will be getting 12Mbp on this offer, $39.95 does not include line rental, it is for BYO phone line customers.

We have unlimited NBN25, NBN50 and NBN100, To view the other NBN plans please visit http://netcube.com.au/price_nbn.phps.

Hi Rep, I'm in Eight Mile Plains (Brisbane, QLD, Australia). Currently with TPG on ADSL 2+ (on Telstra circuit I think). My contract with them will finish soon, so am I able to get this at my home? And also what provider do you guys use? Thanks! Awesome price btw =)

      Hi there,

Yes we offer a range of services to residential Australia wide, we can provide you with internet as long as there are pots available. We use Telstra's network.
Please make an enquiry on the landing page and we will get back to you with the best deal that we can offer. :)

    • FREE 15G Google drive storage
    • FREE google powered email account

    Seriously?

    • Powered by Australia’s largest network
    Which network would that be?

    • +3

And free 4 months antivirus. Good deal!

I think this marketing is targeted to elderly.

    • we are offering free google apps email accounts, not your everyday Gmail.
      Telstra is Australia’s largest network

      • is that means your adsl2+ internet service is provided by telstra? i.e. your adsl2+ internet service = telstra's adsl2+?

      • This answer will be interesting. Peter, for people that can only get on a Telstra port (even if the pricing is for Zone 1 only) is the price still $39.95 Unlimited?

      • I believe this is the first deal I have negged, and I'm doing so because I feel the deal is misleading and in 2 days the associated rep has not explained himself.
The description says "powered by Australia's largest network", which the rep says is Telstra. That's all fine and good, but does this $39 deal pertain to the Telstra network? I highly doubt it. If I go put my number into the Netcube website, it says that I am eligible for a much higher priced "Off-Net" plan. If you are powered by Telstra, then you can't place my Telstra DSLAM'd connected into an "Off-Net" category. You must be powered by someone else, or not telling us the full story.

  • +1

The only pros I see is no lock in contract. But it is covered by 149$ setup fee. Not even close to a good deal.

    FREE 4 months antivirus software
    - which if free anyway

    FREE 15G Google drive storage
    - which is free anyway

    FREE google powered email account
    - which most of us are using for free anyway

    Powered by Australia’s largest network
    - that we can't name because… it is not largest?

    • we are offering free google apps email accounts, not your everyday Gmail.
      Telstra is Australia’s largest network

  • $40/Month is good for unlimited, but I'd like to know what network you guys run through before switching over

    • Telstra

  • I'd rather pay more for a ISP that's been around longer.

I mean yes your saving 10 bucks a month but is that worth the risk if it all goes to s#$% ?

  • Do you do fixed wireless nbn?

    • Apologies, not at the moment.

  • "Register your interest today and we'll get back to you with more details." - Why do one just register and you get back with more details? This sounds dodgy…

    • First we need to check the pots availability, internet speed and discounts and offers, we just find that it is clearer to speak over the phone.

  • Need to provide your own home phone line rental which is $30 a month. So it ends up being around $69/Month

    • For me, thats fine… I'm paying $90 for 200GB and I still have to pay for the phone as well… bloody Telstra…

      • Just make an enquiry on the webpage and someone will be in touch with you

      • You missed out on the Telstra bargain from a few years back then! $78 inc line rental :)

        • Still not as good as this deal if it really is unlimited… So many steam games I need to download… so little time lol

  • Hi Rep,

I've been told that my house in Glenwood NSW 2768 is connected to a Telstra only subexchange, would you be able to advise if you can provide ADSL2+ service to such an area?

If you require more information please advise and I can PM you.

    Cheers!

    • Hi there, I believe we can provide you with internet.
Just make an enquiry on the webpage and someone will be in touch with you

      • It seems your live chat service seems to be down… or at least very slow. Been waiting on the there for at least 30 mins… guess I'll have to call through during lunch…

  • Im in W.A, Telstra Velocity community, do you guys service this area? Caversham brookleigh estate 6055

    • Yes we do Roy.
Just make an enquiry on the webpage and someone will be in touch with you

    • Yes we do Roy.

  • Hi Rep,

can you confirm your adsl2+ internet service is provided by telstra? i.e. your adsl2+ internet service = telstra's adsl2+?

  • Hi Rep, does Netcube do naked, and at same price as ADSL2+ ?

Website says speed is up to 24Mbps, but in above post, speed is only 12Mbps?

So, is Ozbargain special not so special?

    • no one gets 24mbps anyways on adsl2+.. if you download at 1.5mb/s thats around 12-15mbps and thats just about max i rekon. Im yet to see otherwise

  • I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that if you don't have the nbn within 12 months so you're happy to sign 12 month contract and waive connection fee and you only have access to Telstra ports this is a pretty good deal.

  • $149 setup fee*

    WHAT ???

    dealbreaker…

    • most isp ull find 50-100$ connection fee especially for NEW connections but 149$ is a whopper amount!

Hi, Just wondering what I can do to make the net faster. It's really slow ever since I connected, only running ar approximately 30 - 70kb/s. Thanks!

    10 November at 15:25
Umm ..thanks for the no reply. Worst service provider ever !

I was going to consider this deal until I read these comments…

    • +2

Well after seeing that, i might have to rethink about joining too… its bad enough my speed dropped since Telstra's recent upgrade.

  • Hey JV could you please suggest any good plan/provider in south east melbourne.

    • i was looking at Exetel, but they've got a lot of complaints about slow speeds during peak…

      Maybe iiNet ?

  • I still do not see an answer to the first post here. Now, as I am in the same position, I will ask again.

What is the additional cost if you do not currently have an installed Telstra phone line, i.e. currently with Optus on cable?

    • No answer received from you so I have to neg the deal.

  • +1

I'm currently on Dodo and looking to change but your deal is equivalent to what I'm currently on i.e. phone line, unlimited internet, no contract for $70 pcm.

    • love Dodo…currently on $40 no contract unlimited adsl2 20 Mpbs..hoping it never changes

  • I think that these set up fees need to be challenged. They don't reflect the real set-up costs, instead they are merely being used as a way to disguise the true monthly cost of purchasing a service.

Also, I'd just like to say that it is a joke to see companies offering internet speeds capped at 12mbps, and then branding it as NBN……

    • NBN plans start from 12mbps. NBN is the infrastructure used to deliver rather than a speed offered. Not everyone gets 24mbps over copper so some do benifit from it.

  • happy with Exetel.. 40$ month incl. line rental for 100gb plenty for me

    • what are your speeds like during peak ?

  • +2

Deal sounds good however, new company with little reputation and requirement for customer to waive Customer Service Guarrantee for On-Net or Off-Net. Doesnt sound like a good idea to me.

  • +1

    "# Mininum cost for month-to-month is $178.95 ($39.95 monthly fee + $149 setup fee)."

I thought the Chinese were supposed to be good at maths.

    • But not at English.

  • @Rep

Contract with Exetel just ended & looking to 'churn'. Any competitive deals for standalone 50/20M or 100/40M unlimited NBN w/ $0 setup on 12mth contract that beats Exetel's plans?

  • Thinking about getting this deal. No setup fee on a 1 yr contract.

  • Go to http://whirlpool.net.au and put in your phone number in the top right.

That will give you all your ISP options available with setup costs etc . I'm with clubtelco currently. $30 line rental (no option for me) and $40 unlimited adsl2+ As fast as the line will support with regards to bandwidth. No contract.

  • i just switched to dodo unlimited, so happy i did, telstra can suck on these ,, ha

  • Is this the price for metro areas only? If so, how much is it for regional areas?
Also P2P may be slowed: http://bc.whirlpool.net.au/bc/isp-1424-1/netcube-adsl2.htm
