Free Small Coffee or 600ml Spring Water (for ING Direct/Coles Cred Card Customers) @ Coles Express

1370

Coles Express currently have Free Small Coffee or Coles Spring Water 600ml ATM vouchers. You receive a voucher every time you do a balance enquiry or make a withdrawal at a Coles Express ATM.

ING Direct will refund your ATM fees for both of these ($1 & $2.50). You can also use your Coles Credit card to make a balance enquiry if you prefer (thanks Baysew).

One water/coffee per voucher, you can use multiple vouchers though. For example 4 balance enquiries = 4 vouchers = 4 free waters or coffees.

Not all stores have coffee available, use the store locator & look for this icon

Vouchers available until 3/12/14, but can be used until 17/12/14. Picture of the voucher

Reminder to receive free ATM fees you must deposit (but not keep) $1000 a month into your ING account:
"Every single ATM in Australia is FREE. Simply deposit $1,000 or more per month."

  • Is this only at the ATM's that may be in Coles Express servos?.

    • Yes only Coles Express servos

      • Well then maybe update the description to say you can only use the ATM's at Coles Express to get the voucher otherwise people may be going to any ATM any where trying to get a voucher and it doesn't work that way.

        • Yep have already updated to make it clearer, thanks :)

        • @hamza23:

My bad. Must have bad eye sight today :)

One question. Does the voucher get printed on the ATM receipt?.

        • @hollykryten:

It gets printed as a separate voucher, at the end of your withdrawal/balance enquiry it asks you which voucher you want then prints it separately. I just did a balance enquiry on screen and then got the printed free water/coffee voucher.

          Edit: Here's a picture

The coffee is normally 80 cents

    • That's cheap.

On the other hand the Coles 600ml spring water is normally 99c at Coles supermarkets i do believe.

Thanks for bolding "normally 80 cents". I would have almost certainly missed that part of your post otherwise.

Thanks for bolding "normally 80 cents".

        You're welcome…

Rather withdraw from the supermarket for free and get 50c back.

    • +4

You still can, there's no need to withdraw money, you just do balance enquiries to get the vouchers.

  • I think a trip to the local servos is in order :-) thanks OP!

  • I'm a new ING customer. Would this work if this is the first month I've deposited 1k? I.e would I be charged for the balance check?

    • +2

      From ING's T&Cs:
"The ATM Rebate offer will apply for the next calendar month"

    • I think this offer is not restricted to ING card.If coles express has a nab ATM,you can just use nab card.

      • I haven't seen any NAB ATM's here in SA, do they have them interstate?

Do the NAB atm's also print vouchers or do only Coles Express ATMs would have that ability? The website makes it sound like only Coles Express ATMs:

        http://www.colesexpress.com.au/services.aspx
"For your convenience, many of our stores offer a Coles Express Voucher ATM. Much more than just an ATM"

        • I think this offer is not restricted to ING card.

It's not restricted to ING card. However as ING pick up the fee for the transaction,(Provided you meet ING's T & C's) it makes Ozbargain sense to use that card.

Of course it's free for a Coles Credit Card.

If coles express has a nab ATM,you can just use nab card

Coles replaced NAB ATM's with their own.

    • If you are a new customer, and you are on the 5% rebate, there is NO REQUIREMENT for you to deposit $1000 a month.

The $1000 requirement only applies if you had a ING account for more than 6 month and/or are on 2% rebate.

Thanks Op, Just went and bought some fuel and checked my account 6 times. They don't have any coffee but I got 6 free bottles of water :)

    • +1

True OzBargain style. Keep up the good work.

      • I hope they don't pick it up. You know how they caught some guys splitting paywave. lol.

Is there a card you can use at coles express atm without a fee?

        • +1

          Yes - Coles Credit Card

        • @Baysew:

I'll add Coles CC in as well, thanks

  • Same deal apply for check bal& deposit?

    • Same deal apply for check bal& deposit?

Op has already stated ** balance enquiry**

      deposit into what ?

      No for ING obviously.

      • Pity it cannot work like that. Otherwise cash input of $50 would give $1 back when spent(2%)AND 1coffee. (/No point in forgoing $1 for an $0.8 coffee)
But I can use the bal enquiry gimme by not ordering fuel or anything else.

  • I miss the 15% Mobile Recharge discount Coupons :(

    see https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/113878

    • You can also choose to buy a telstra prepaid voucher for $40 or more and get 1000 flybuy points = $5. Works out to be about 15% off, if you choose the $40 recharge and use the ing paywave to pay, but you need to be with Telstra for this offer.

I used my ING card this morning (11AM) 6 times to check my balance and no ATM transactions have come up since. Infact, the Coles machines are the ones where you slide your card in and out and then put your pin in, so you can do it as many times as you want.

Did on screen balance check and repeated:

Now that you mention it, I don't remember being prompted for a $1 fee and I can't see anything in my ING account either (did this yesterday evening).

  • Wait.. There are no restrictions? So i can get a box of 24 water bottles (or more) every time i visit?

    • I'll let you know.

The voucher only says one per coupon. So you can interpret that as: You have 9 coupons, you can get 9 bottles.

I used all 6 vouchers at the same time with no problems @ Coles Express Brunswick East VIC

        • +1

Same here in NsW. Used 3 vouchers no problem. Maybe I should bring my trailer next time.

P.s. Kinda feel bad for wasting paper and ink printing out the vouchers tho, why wouldnt they cut the chase and get to the point. Free unlimited water bottles!

  • Hacking time

There's a tap outside most servos serving up free water too and sometimes even air… ;)

I was at a number of Coles Express stations around Sydney and Parramatta area and used my ING card. All machines I have experience with a message 'This transaction with incur a $1.00 fee' do you wish to continue. also noted that may have charge extra by your own bank.

I guess Coles Express ATM machines have upgraded recently??

    Anyone find this out late?

    • +1

If you deposit $1000 a month into your account, all ATM fees are waived.
That is to say, ING will refund you the ATM fee.

    • Yes,it incurs $1 fee since last Thursday. Before that,no fee for balance inquiry.

      • lucky enough had my oldest coles credit card in years in my wardrobe never touched, finally have something useful.

tried with the card working perfectly. the embarrass moment is when the ATM is so close to the checkout and the time you do so much balance enquiry and make loud atm button noise. I had one station lady walk near me to check on me. Got my 6 vouchers and then walk away…

        expire today guys

        • I have to go to Coles Express today so I'll see what the new vouchers are, the site doesn't have the new ones as yet.

        • @hamza23: free 40g chocolate bar today.
