  • Can anyone confirm that it can take 2A end to end ?

    • I have purchased from them before and I can confirm that they take 2A end to end.

This is a extract from their ebay site so if it is not correct then you have cause for a refund

      MATERIAL
Wire: Stranded Pure Copper - 26 AWG

      Output: 2A

(If input is 1A, output will be maximized 1A, which is optimal for mobile phones)

(If input is 2A, output will be 2A, which is optimal for tablets)

They can however their micro usb plug has no secured pin lock so after a few months it will become loose. I already threw away 2 of them and not gonna buy another one.

      • +2

Yep agreed…….4 - 6 weeks I got out of mine. Junk.

But yes, they did handle 2amps happily, just a shockingly bad plug design.

Don't be fooled by the positive feedback this seller has, they get positive feedback initially, as the plugs will work for the first month.

      • What would you recommend for 2A and moderately durable? The last couple I got couldn't handle 2A.

        • +1

Good question …. I've never been able to find a generic solution that lasts, I thought I was on a winner when I bought these cables, but alas, no durability.

My LG G2 cable and my Galaxy Pro Tab (genuine) cables are the only ones I have that pump through 2amps and are durable.

        • +1

@ash2000: Same here. The G2's original cable is rugged and I doublt any cheap generic replacement could match it.

I got a couple of these 1.5M on eBay from China. Took a while to arrive but handle 2A ok. Haven't had long enough to verify durability. http://www.ebay.com/itm/131302791232

@ash2000: I bought some of these Bluerigger Fast Charge from Amazon and although they are are a thick arse cable, they are also very supple. The ones I bought don't support data, but carry 2A and have a snug fit and decent hooks. I am only at week 7 though.

They do have a standard USB 2.0 and a 10ft USB 3 cable as well, all with a lot of good reviews.

I like that the small USB end fits through my UAG case too. I'll reserve complete judgement until they have lasted a while longer than 2 months, but so far so good.

        • @ash2000:

I found a bunch of durable cables off ebay (!) a while ago, but the seller seems to have dropped off the face of the planet. And it's a pain trying to find similar ones, since they all reuse photos and lie in titles/descriptions anyway.

They last about 6 months to a year, which is quite nice with how rough I am on them. Actually, the hooks are a little too strong, if anything…

Actually, if anyone is willing to give it a shot, these two might be it. Out of all those I've ordered, the good ones came in little individual bags with the plastic tie, while the bad ones were wrapped in a strip of plastic film.

I'll be ordering a couple myself, but it'll obviously take a while to find out. Try at your own risk.

        • These looks nice and chunky , but they don't seem to deliver to oz?

      • i'm happy with the ones i bought..
and as i recently bought them, can't comment on the durability..

        good so far

        • Yeah, I initially recommend these cables to a lot of people too, on the face of it, they seemed great! :|

      • +2

Agree with the durability. The connection is a bit iffy now after a few months use. The cable has to be angles a certain way for a proper connection. I once plugged it in thinking that it was charging but woke up the next morning with a completely flat battery.

      • Same here with the plug,

My HTC one started reporting cable (low Amps) issues on their 3m cables, that was with a 2amp power supply and the phone only needs 1amp. I was unimpressed.

I now use Cygnett 2m cables form HN $9.95each ($14 at JB)

    hmm weird
the 1 x 2m cable i bought from them last year still works great actually, i've been waiting for it to come back on sale again

  • Poor quality cables, I have bought 4 of them and have to throw them out in few weeks. Not worth spending money here.

  • I've only ever bought elcheapo micro cables and only had one failure in 2 years.

  • +1

Agree with above comments. Bought 3 a while back and all micro USB plugs no longer seat securely, I won't buy Tikbro again

  • I bought 4 tikbro cables. 3 out of 4 cables failed within 3 months of use.
The metal part of the connector ( see : http://i.imgur.com/t4fYkQB.jpg ) becomes loose on the 3 cables that I had.
2 of the cables still can be used to charge, if the angle of the cable is right.
Cable had to tbe pulled to certain angle.

  • +2

Just as everyone said, the cables are not very durable.

The microusb side will get bent as seen here, depending on which side the cable usually is relative to the phone.

Also, I have had one event of an entire failure of the USB side connector as seen here and here when I was disconnecting it from my Anker portable charger. I would have been very annoyed if it damaged my portable charger.

The charging rate on these are definitely great, it's just that the lifespan of these are so short that any cost savings would have been negated.

  • IF they arrive, they won't last long. Quality questionable.
