LG G Watch $197 JB Hi-Fi

60

$249 on the Google Play.
Moto 360 and G Watch R are of course the better looking options but they're almost double the price.

    Almost $400? Nope. $300 is not $400.

G Watch R is $349 + shipping on Google Play

I'd say that constitutes as almost double.

Massive #logicfail. Quite a few people have picked up the Moto360 for $300.

      • If you are going to use the Google Play (RRP essentially) price for one, you should compare it with the Google Play price for the other…

I think Mic Cullen is trying to say it can be had for less than RRP.

Personally I would much rather pay $100-$150 more for a 360 or G Watch R.

Why? Because it is round in shape?

Basically yes - I would prefer not to look like I am wearing a Casio Databank from the 80s/90s.

For me the majority of the time it would simply be a watch, so looking good is important.

  • I tried this model and Samsung's Gear Live and think the Gear Live is a better device. Seems to be about this price at Officeworks now.
I ended up buying the G Watch R though.

Gear live has better screen resolution but this one reads better in direct sun light. I have the gear live and loving it. I must warn you ALL android wear need charging EVERY night.

    • I have the pebble watch and it gets me through 5 days without a hitch :p

The gear live can be had for $177 at office works, I saw it on display yesterday in the Clarence st one in sydney

Anyone considering the Sony Smartwatch 3? It is available from the Sony store at $299 with free shipping http://www.sony.com.au/product/swr-50

i read many bad reviews about this, battery, etc etc.
see how many people selling on ozb.

I have no issues with the battery on mine. Off charger at 5:30am, back on at about 9:30pm usually with about 40-50% left. Maybe older firmware had bad battery life??? In terms of functionality I can't say anything bad about it. It runs smooth & reliably. I would say it is the ugliest of the bunch though. I only paid $80 new/sealed off Gumtree (unwanted when someone bought a G3 package at HN). I would have bought the Samsung over the LG based on looks if full priced.

  • My sister and mum both have this - got it for $1 with the LG G3 Harvey Norman deal a while ago. Its battery life is decent enough if you tick the option that lets the screen turn off. They only use it when going out for general text/email notifications, as a pedometer (which is apparently not very accurate), and with an app that tells you if your phone is out of Bluetooth range (my sister loses her phone pretty often). They both don't like the aesthetics very much, but considering it was basically for free, they don't really care.
