Ah son of a… I bought it a couple of days ago from this deal.

An extra $15 off and you get $30 itunes card.

    • I bought 2 from that deal…. sigh

  • I think it's one or the other as the iTunes offer says it can't be combined with any other offers and there's no mention of it in the cart

  • Cheers Trent. Good buying for the QC25 with or without the iTunes gift card. Was hoping to snag a pair for below $300 but this might be good enough :)

Combined with amex offer, bring down to $274. :)

    • Combined with TRS = $246.60 :)

I'm sure perhaps combo this with Cashback rewards of 5% would be great too LOL.

    • Whats the amex offer, can you provide some details?
      Thanks

  • and still no black ones, gah

  • how come 15 and 25 same price, 25 is the upgrade model, right?

  • What do people think of these vs Senheiser pxc 450?

    Thanks

I have a pair of PXC450 at home… when I get my pair of QC25s I'll let you know. Hopefully it wouldn't be too late to snag this bargain though.

      -EDIT-

$15 OFF for every $75 spent on TVS, BLU-RAY PLAYERS AND RECORDERS, CAMERAS, HEADPHONES and HOME AUDIO. Purchased in one transaction. Discount will automatically apply at checkout. Excludes Bose Lifestyle, GoPro, Crosley, iPod, Holysmoke and Sonos. Offer available until Sunday 23rd November unless sold out prior or otherwise stated.

Guess I won't make it to give you a general idea… my bad I think mine arrives next week…

I've tried both, and now own the Bose QC25s. The PXC 450s do sound a little better IMO, but QC25 still sound great and definitely have better noise cancelling. PXC450 are noticeably heavier, around 250 grams, Bose are under 200 grams. PXC450 has volume control on headphones. PXC450 sounds decent without noise cancelling activated (no battery), Bose sound bloody horrible without noise cancelling activated. All up I still wanted the Bose because I want the best noise cancelling, and with a quality set of earphones it's the best of both worlds.

  • Any recommendations for home theatre

  • Finally can my dc 59 that I missed last time when they had $15 off every $75.

    • TV'S, Cameras, Home Audio, Headphones ???

  • Sweat deal! Called Myer store earlier, online promotion runs one day earlier.
Question: Should I get the extended 3 years warranty for extra $55? They claimed it is a replacement warranty. Anyone here has come across with their replacement warranty?

  • Which are better the QC 25 or the Parrot Zik 2.0?.

you comparing non bt with bt….

      wireless FTW!

      • I should have been more specific as the Bluetooth is irrelevant to me, its the noise cancelling I am interested in for long haul flights and at this price I want to pick the best at it.

        • +1

The Bose is annoyingly the best NC on the market, and this is coming from someone who used to sell everything but the Bose (only Bose and very select big retailers can sell NC Bose)

  • sorry noob here but the price we see is the after discount, right? no additional reduction after putting in shopping cart?

    • +1

      discounted price shows in cart

  • i am tossing between BOSE CineMate® GS Series II and Phillips HTL9100 Soundbar. they are both on sale.. i know Bose is 2.1 and Phillips is 5.1.. but I am told Bose has a pretty good sound for 2.1… any feedback

    • +1

I own the HTL9100 so I can give you feedback on that.

I bought it because it's the only true surround sound soundbar I can find. Sound is excellent for the price, the missing centre channel is noticeable at times but it'd be the same with any sound bar.

I keep the detachable speakers on 90% of the time and only take it off when watching movies. Very convenient as we don't have access to the ceiling so surround would have been near impossible otherwise.

People give Bose a lot of flak for being overpriced and they're mostly right, but if you like the Bose sound you like it. Test them out and decide for yourself!

Edit: maybe I'm seeing wrong but if the price is $999 - ~15% discount you can definitely find a better deal elsewhere. I got mine from rio for $649 a month or so ago

      • Do you have a link for rio? I am keen on one of these as well but can't see to find it for less than $800

        • I was told mine was 1 of 3 they had left. Can't seem to see it on their website maybe give them a call?
          This was the deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/164647

thanks turkz1.. yeah i cant seem to find anything below $794.. maybe i should wait for the boxing day sales next month..

  • I am so tempted to buy SoundTouch 20

  • Bummed i missed out on the last QC25 deal… but glad it's even cheaper now!

  • Any opinions on the difference between the AE2s and the SoundTrues? Is it worth the extra $60+?

      • Thanks, but a bit confused as to why the AE2s are more than the SoundTrues according to this?

        • No idea m8, the wonderful world of retail pricing :)

      • I feel like this is misleading. The soundtrue does not have batteries.

        CNet's David Carnoy said:
"I'd like to tell you that Bose has improved the sound of the headphone, but alas, the changes are really just cosmetic"

        So, mostly just looks.

Thought the SoundLink Bluetooth speaker III @ $324 delivered was a good deal. Had to phone to get this price because discount was not applied at checkout.

    • Thanks for the tip cremmin, I also did this.

  • Any thoughts about Bose Solo 15 TV sound system?

Update: Sh** out of stock. Bugger.

  • Tempting to order the QC25s currently have the QC15s

  • This is really a good price but no black! Do you guys think I can buy the white one, keep it sealed, and exchange it in store when the black one is on stock?

    • I asked about that in store and was told no, but you might have better luck than me!

      • +1

Ah cool. Thanks for the reply mate. I called a store and was told I can buy white, keep it sealed and exchange it within 30 days. But they can't give an assurance if the black stock will arrive in 30 days.

        • Just price match at JB or something, grabbed myself a black pair.
On the train now and I can barely hear a thing (other than my music).

        • Yeah but I really wanted to get it for $274 ($75 discount from Myer plus the $50 AMEX cashback).

        • @ATangk: I thought that price matches are only allowed if the competitor has the product in stock, since Myer don't I didn't think they'd honour it

        • @yessum:
They have the White in stock, and the difference is just a colour. Multiple times I've pricematched, and mostly its just based on the price. If a competitor had stock, why would I go to JB for example instead of buying it at the competitor? I mean that would imply physically going to the store to check stock levels. In this circumstance I would be expecting a price beat rather than a price match.

        • @ATangk: Ooh did not know that, thanks for the advice! I'll have to try it next time there's a sale I'm eyeing

  • I purchased the QC25s, and just got an email saying that my order has been cancelled/refunded due to lack of stock!

Pretty shoddy. Guess I'll be going in to the store to see if I can get a rain check…

    • Call customer service and find out if any stock will be coming in soon
