Microsoft Office

Hi OzBargainers

I recently got a new laptop and in need of Microsoft Office. Just trying my luck on Ozbargain before I hit up Microsoft for Office, soooooo does anyone know of any deals for Office personal edition (2010,2013 or 365) or where I can get it for a cheaper fair?

  • Try microsoft home use program if you've got a .edu email address (but still try if you can't anyway)

    • its been a long long time since ive had a .edu student account :(

  • Do you know a teacher? They can get Office for about $25.

  • See if you are eligible, needs a .edu email address.

Likewise, if you have a participating work email address for the MS Home Use Program, you can get it for $15.

There is a list of emails that work… Also, I'd like to point out that the @internode.on.net works as well as I've tried it.

  • OpenOffice is at a compelling price point.

    • How legit is this?

      • Never used it, just seen it referenced here and other forums. I would imagine they're resold MSDN keys so you're in a grey area.

But then again, using my Internode email for the MS Home Use Program isn't exactly kosher either.

  • what about office 365, it has all the programs to install, it isnt online apps. someone posted recently that is was around $50 per year plus unlimited online storage.

  • Thanks for the reply guys,

I'll try the MS Home Use Program first. Any ideas on who in the business would have access to the 'Program Code'? IT help desk?

I also know a teacher so ill ask her too :)

  • I am after Microsoft Office Home and Office. Do not know any teacher or student. Has anyone seen it on special anywhere in Melbourne.
